Odd, lapsed scientist, actor, writer, creative cooker. I'm funnier than I seem -- less serious. I have no tattoos -- my clothes aren't flashy -- I like things simple and elegant -- a touch dark. My walls are blank -- I've got a fertile imagination.

For the time being, the recycling business, which isn't terribly fulfilling, but it supports my habits. I hope for more, and my feelers are out. I reach -- continually -- lying in the gutter, peering up at the stars.

I'm in love with films by Alejandro González Iñárritu, Wong Kar Wai, and Ang Lee - Fallen Angels makes my heart swell, Lust/Caution rips it out.

Food, I'm on a sandwich kick. I have a great big plate of fresh fruit every night for dessert. I exercise vigorously -- daily -- so I can eat whatever. I was recently thrilled to find that Cordon Bleu on CA/Polk survived the Lumiere's demise.

I was raised on The Cure and punk rock. More in general, my tastes, so I'm told, tend to be strange. Most recently, music comes to me via Pandora.

When someone asks what my favorite book is, I have to ask which genre. Sad to say I don't find much time to read for leisure these days...

...happy for the leisure to sleep a little later. Sometimes out to dinner. On free days, I walk all over the city. I'm readier than ever for the outskirts. Got some new Vasques that need breaking in.

In suit and ridiculous powder-blue bowtie, I climbed an orange tree and hung upside down from a limb. I was 13. They said I was a man. Oh, and I jumped from a bridge naked. Everyone else was doing it, so...
