My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a geeky blonde/pink/purple-haired girl living in Halifax. A perfect night for me is curling up on the couch with some noms and something on the TV. I hibernate in winter like a sleepy bear and re-emerge, blinking and irritated, when the sun returns. Then it's cute dresses and ice cream sandwiches whenever possible!

I'm not "looking for love" at the moment-- I've found it! On this website! SUCCESS STORY!!! -- but I am still keen to make friends with new people, and I tend to reply to messages when there's something to reply to. Not wasting my time or yours, I'm most likely only going to answer if we're a really high match, or you're otherwise interesting/funny/clever. And you definitely need clear pictures.

In brief: I am tiny, pink, and snarky. I need someone to complement that. Not compliment.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Finished my BA in English and Film, then got a diploma in Tourism Management. After working assorted shitty mall jobs, that eventually resulted in a career at a beautiful museum. A job relating to my field? Living the dream, basically.

When not at work, I'm spending time with my best friends, planning trips and having a lot of fandom-feelings.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
knowing completely useless information about various pop-culture things. Also, cross-stitch.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My pink hair! It's been a mix of blonde and pink for about 10 years.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
a) Harry Potter, Northern Lights, Narnia--- traditional Brit Kid Lit. Beyond that: Stephen King, Ray Bradbury, Douglas Adams (we're Birthday Buddies!), Rick Riordan, John Saul, Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, Gregory Maguire... all good for me.

b) Way too taxing a question for a film nerd like myself. I would have to say my favourite movie of all time ever is Hitchcock's Vertigo, but The Wizard of Oz is an easy second place, and of all things, Mallrats slides into third. I have no guilty pleasure movies. Everything I love, I love unironically. I have a particularly soft-spot for Disney Channel Original Movies.

c) I can't list what shows I watch. We'd be here all night! Assume that if there's time travel or zombies or wizards or smart comedy or monsters or thought-provoking drama or ghosts or serial killers or space involved, I'm probably there. Not so much interested in the problems of wealthy sexy teens (unless their high school drama also involves the supernatural... but not if that shit sparkles). But if you need to narrow it down to one show, I'll give you a significant hint: I have a large blue police box tattooed on my back.

d) Fall Out Boy/Patrick Stump, Two Hours Traffic, bright eyes, The Rocket Summer, Panic! at the Disco, The Cab, Cobra Starship, Something Corporate/Jack's Mannequin, Phantom Planet, Hanson, Ben Folds, the Beatles, silverchair, Rufus Wainright, Motion City Soundtrack, Ed Sheeran... I could go on. I won't. But just so it's not a surprise: I've seen One Direction from the third row AND IT WAS DELIGHTFUL.

e) Popcorn and chocolate milk.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1) Patrick Stump
2) my iphone with a strong wifi signal
3) 8 hours of sleep a night
4) my glasses
5) Annie's White Cheddar mac and cheese
6) taxidermy (I don't do it myself, but I love my 2-headed crested myna birds, George and Marty McFly. I hope you'll love them, too.)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
building my dream home. Think the Addams Family, old spooky Scooby Doo castles, the Winchester Mystery House, etc. I want slides and secret passageways and a bookcase that turns and one of those portraits where you can look through the eyes and see if people are bitching about you when you're not in the room.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
either lurking out a trivia night with some pals (and kicking ass!), or trying to save TV shows that I love who are being shoved in the dreaded Friday night slot. Nothing too crazy, since I work on Saturdays.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have no sense of smell, which affects my sense of taste. I am, as a result, a painfully picky eater and it will annoy the shit out of anyone who calls themselves a "foodie". Then again, I would probably never date someone that pretentious.
