My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
People say I have a pretty dry sense of humor. I am an open minded person and try to be open to new ideas and ways of living. I generally default to being more of a homebody, so I want people in my life that excite me to get out and tear it up a bit.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I've been many things in life. I've always had an interest in technology. I used to be very passionate about film and filmmaking, but that has waned a bit over time. I think the atmosphere of the lights dimming as a film is about to start can be a magical thing.

I moved to the Lou a bit over 3 years ago and I still am trying to find my groove here.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Listening to people
Keeping an open mind
Keeping the dream alive
Keeping fish alive in a tiny-ish glass box.
Keeping fish cooking in a tiny-ish pan or oven.
Making spring rolls
Making conversations awkward
Thinking about playing guitar
Running at a slowish pace for longish times
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Recently, I have thought that I should spend less energy consuming media and culture and should be focused more on being social and creating experiences but...

I'm from Indianapolis so I have a natural inclination to like Vonnegut. Also related to Indy, I haven't read the fault in our stars. I tend to nerd out on sci-fi/fantasy from time to time. I like Marquez, and Murakami, and Morrison; so I guess I'm into magical realism which is probably fitting.

I enjoy Wes Anderson though often I kind of groan when I think of his style. I liked Grand Budapest but going into it I thought it would be awful. I like Werner Herzog, Koreeda, Coen Bros, Steven Chow, Anything by members of The State(Wain/Sho especially), Bruce Brown Documentaries, David Lynch...really I enjoy any well crafted film.

I like a lot of indie rock and folk, some harder metalish stuff, some hip hop and rap. I am not a great dancer, but I enjoy getting out there and shaking when I can.

I like food.

There was a time when I put a lot of stock in using these types of lists to make decisions on who I would get along with or not, but I don't think that's a good approach. I'd say if you like to get out there and shake it up, have a desire to be creative, and are up for adventures we'd be a good match.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Fall colors and the crisp air.
Dewy spring mornings.
Serene summer nights.
Heavy blankets in the winter.
Learning new things
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Where everything is going
When are we going to get jet packs
When are we going to get self driving cars(come on google!)
Clean energy
My role and my responsibilities to the world
Economies of scale
Wealth Inequality balanced against free markets
The food chain
How to connect with people
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
On my own I often stay in, but I'd rather be out finding fun things to do.
