Hi, I'm Andy. I'm on this site because I'm looking to meet new people, while in the thick of it in one of the greatest cities on the planet. I'm a working professional with a Masters degree living in Brooklyn. Although I take career seriously, I'd say I'm more about having a good time in the here and now. Better to laugh, live, and love in the day-to-day with those who matter to you than trying to fit a preconceived mold of how to be something else, or to chase some borrowed dream with only the vague promise of enjoying it at retirement. Not that this mentality absolves one from responsibility, I just believe a healthy pinch of irreverence for anything that professes to be sacred is a good thing! I'm part jock/part geek, and love to hang with friends, travel the world, and keep my mind engaged.

This question raises all sorts of existential questions...by day I work at a political and security risk consultancy and business intelligence firm. Otherwise I'm hanging with friends, checking out new restaurants/bars around town, going to concerts, reading, traveling, and snowboarding.

Geography. Random, I know, but true. Since a young age, I've had this uncanny ability to memorize maps, poring over atlases, studying and internalizing the geopolitical landscape. Maybe a bit OCD, but I actually know the capital cities of every country in the world by heart and can describe most national flags. I actually was on a TV show for this ability at age 8. As an adult, this has translated into a true wanderlust and desire to visit new places, for which I am grateful. One day, I hope to acquire a respectable collection of antique maps.
