I am kind to animals, active and not, and smart.
My Self-Summary
With the excitement usually associated with walking the plank, I
begin … not because of the adventure that is about to begin but
because of the prelude to the adventure. I am satisfied with who
I've become through life's experiences. However, I still believe
there are a lot of goals to conquer, mine & yours … wouldn't it
be way more fun to have a partner to slay the dragons with! I am
happy & upbeat, have a huge heart and a warm, gentle spirit. I
can be playful and silly or serious and focused at the appropriate
times. With all my blessings counted, I am in good health, and take
care of my mental, physical and spiritual well being. I enjoy being
active (going & doing) and inactive (snuggling in front of a
fire talking (or not)). I have a good sense of humor (beware it
could be directed at you; hope you have the humor to banter back),
a ready laugh, and a style that makes people feel comfortable.
Communication is important; no guessing games either way. I'm not
into drama, unless it is on TV, stage, or screen. I'm super
flexible, a curve ball here and there is expected … there is a
difference between an inconvenience and a tragedy – stay focused -
a broken fingernail is an inconvenience not a catastrophe. Although
I do not have children, I have nothing against you having them; I
love and adore children, I just wasn’t blessed in that way. I am a
man who sits comfortably among people from all walks of life, but,
truth be told, I have a special affinity for those who are well
grounded in life.
Are you willing to step off the plank knowing I’ll be waiting to
swim with you? Life is short, take a chance; don’t wait for life to
happen to you, rather make it happen!
What I’m doing with my life
is anything I choose. Isn't life grand! I am planning on building a
log home on the edge of town in the near future... I hope. I have
to sell my home first and this isn't exactly the best market for
selling quickly. (darn)
I’m really good at
my job. I read somewhere that if you love what you do you never
work a day in your life. That fits. I consider myself blessed. What
I'm not good at is tooting my own horn, as they say.
The first things people usually notice about me
is dependent on the environment we are in. Let's see what you
notice first. :)
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I don't remember the last time I read fiction. I only read to
learn. I do enjoy Og Mandino and Robert Kiyosaki. I also read
magazines. As for movies, I enjoy action, drama, suspense,
comedies, romance and fantasy. I do not enjoy sci-fi (movies that
are about aliens or supersized creatures/animals). If you don't
know the difference between fantasy and sci-fi think Kiss Me
Goodbye, Superman, Harry Potter, Little Mermaid, Lion King, etc.).
Next is music. I enjoy a large variety of music; the list could
include soft rock, country, jazz, R&B, classical, ragtime, lite
opera, showtunes, easy listening, big band, oldies (20's -
present), world, and alternative. It does not include rap, hip-hop,
black, death, screamo. Examples of artists I do enjoy include
Michael Buble, Celine, Cher, Heart, Clarkson, Ethridge, Reba,
Brooks & Dunn, Patsy Cline, Streisand, Diamond, Manilow,
Iglesias (Julio & Enrique), Anita Baker, Brickman, Cole,
Dorsey, Sinatra, Enya, Yanni, Kenny G, and Trans-Siberian
Orchestra. Oh, and Weird Al Yankovich. I love to dance (swing,
waltz, cha cha, samba, etc.). And lastly food. Oh boy the food! I
enjoy Mexican, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, and seafood. I like
spicy but don't have to have it at home if you don't; I can always
order it when we go out.
The six things I could never do without
: Things are just things and we are all very adaptable. Put
Maslow's heirarchy of needs here.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
what to write on here... ;-)
On a typical Friday night I am
out of the house.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
is that I am a very private person so I would never put anything
else that's private on here for the world to see!
You should message me if
you'd like to. If you "go fish" you can continue reading... or
