My self-summary
“I prefer by far the warmth and softness to mere brilliancy and coldness. Some people remind me of sharp dazzling diamonds. Valuable but lifeless and loveless. Others, of the simplest field flowers, with hearts full of dew and with all the tints of celestial beauty reflected in their modest petals.”
― Anaïs Nin
What I’m doing with my life
I currently work as a systems analyst at a software development company. The fun part about that (and there is one) is that I get to travel around the country and teach people how to use the program.
I plan on using my framed degree in English as a defense weapon in a burglary so I can at least get SOME use out of it. Afterwards, I plan on opening a literary themed coffeeshop in Detroit.
In the meantime I daydream about buying a sailboat, getting piano lessons, and building an English cottage.
I’m really good at
- Timing the inappropriate part of my sentence for when the room suddenly gets quiet.
- The Shakespeare category on Jeopardy.
- Whistling that one song in Kill Bill that everyone knows.
- Guessing which house people are going to pick on House Hunters.

Currently learning how to be great at photography, calligraphy, and golfing.
The first things people usually notice about me
I often hear that I smell great.
I'm more feminine than people expect.

The six things I could never do without
My mom
Frission (look it up)
My cats, Bordois and Emelyne
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Trees, and falling asleep under them.
Skinny dipping on the 4th of July.
Converting attics into secret cuddle places.
The next destination I should spend my miles on.
What I would say to Kate Middleton if we had tea together.
How to dig myself out of an avalanche/how long can I tread water in the Atlantic Ocean.
On a typical Friday night I am
Hopefully hunched over a grilled cheese in a 24 hour diner like my life depended on it.
But when I'm not out with my friends I'm probably sitting at home supervising cat shenanigans from behind a book and a glass of sangria.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I accidentally puked into a fan once.
You should message me if
You'd be interested in a friendship whether that be across the world or right around the corner.

Your profile picture isn't you in a mirror, your boobs, or something reminiscent of amateur porn.

You'd eventually (if you're not creepy) like to try out a local coffeeshop, brewery/winery, or performance and would enjoy some company.

You'd like to be my pen pal. I love writing letters.

If you believe in this:
"Date a girl who reads because you deserve it. You deserve a girl who can give you the most colorful life imaginable. If you can only give her monotony, and stale hours and half-baked proposals, then you’re better off alone. If you want the world and the worlds beyond it, date a girl who reads."
