I'm currently a student at ASU working on my Bachelor's Degree in both English Literature and European History. ASU is not my first choice, but it's close to home and I'm there on scholarship, so I can't complain. I'm hoping to do my graduate studies in England in two years.

I have a very quirky, colorful history. I couldn't possibly summarize efficiently here. Most people tell me I should write a book. I don't quite know how I feel about that, but there would definitely be a lot of material to choose from.

I love the arts, so they tend to inhabit my free time. I enjoy photography, music, writing, film and theater. I absolutely love traveling. The moment I get the chance to go somewhere new and exciting, I leave. Eventually, I'd like to move to London. I've spent 2 months in England in the past two years, and I fall more in love with it every time I visit.

I have a few pet-peeves that are pretty much deal breakers for me. If you don't read this, and I don't respond to you, the fault is yours.
1) I'm an atheist. I won't be converted. Don't even try. I cannot date anyone who is serious about any religion that requires my participation or puts me in a position to constantly be nagged.
2) I hate sloppy grammar! Do not e-mail me with something like: "hi i saw ur prophile u seem intresting n i think we wood get allong good." NO WE WON'T. If I have to decipher and/or edit each one of your sentences, I won't respond. If you can't punctuate, we can't date. Sorry.

So far I'm getting an education, and that is pretty much the majority of my focus at this point. I'm also involved in quite a few service activities, mainly working with refugees.

Bullshitting my way through essays. Procrastinating. Being the "black sheep" in my family. Maintaining independent thoughts, goals, and desires.

The first thing people verbalize is usually something to do with my smile. If it's something else, they've never told.

I'm usually very open to books, and I'll pretty much read anything. I like a lot of the classics though I've several more to read. A few are Brave New World, Stones from the River, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings, Life of Pi, and others. I can never remember when prompted.

I'm pretty entertained by film and will watch ALMOST anything. I can never say no to Tarantino for sure, but I also enjoy sappy, chick flicks from time to time. As for TV, there is a lot I should watch, but I don't find the time. I love QI, but we don't have it in the states.

I listen to all kinds of music, but most of it doesn't play on the radio: Adele, Keane, Amy Winehouse, Lily Allen, The Ting Tings, Sia, Duffy, Coldplay, Kate Nash, KT Tunstall, and others.

Favorite food is Italian.

Things I want to do, places I want to see, and how I need to get there. I want to make the most of life, so I try to seize the moments when the opportunity arises.
