I was diagnosed when I was 19 with a brain tumor the size of a tennis ball that had been growing for 3 years. I got surgery and treatment and so far things are looking (relatively) good. The cancer isn't spreading, but it probably will at which point I'll get chemo and everything should be fine after that.
Also, I have Synesthesia. Not the cool kind with sounds and colors... it's a little more boring, but also more rare. It's ordinal linguistic personification, which is a fancy way of saying that I think of numbers and letters as having personalities. Genders, traits, relationships, etc.
I've thought that way for 20 years and didn't realize until just recently that it's unusual.

This past year I had yet another growth removed from my brain. There were actually a few up there, but this one was growing and needed to be dealt with; apparently my mind is fertile ground. Thankfully, it wasn't the cancer spreading.
