I'm an unabashed pop culture geek. The Godfather is my all-time
favorite movie-- parts I and II are, in my mind, a coagulated blob
of cinematic perfection. (Part III is pop culture's rightfully
shunned bastard child.)
I'm a stand-up comedy addict; love love love the comedy styles of
Louis CK, Ricky Gervais, and Chris Rock.
My TV favorites are tied among Mad Men, Burn Notice, and the Golden
Girls. I'm also into It's Always Sunny in Phila-- THAT'S how you
make people laugh using the teevee machine.
I like all kinds of music. LOVE old school R&B (from back in a
bygone era where music could make you *feel*; Stevie Wonder and
Stephanie Mills are among my favorite old school artists). I like
some modern-ish R&B, e.g., Mary J, Faith Evans, Robin Thicke.
I'm also with all things OutKast. During a semester in the UK some
years ago, I got hooked on Brit pop; I bought up everything from
Craig David to Artful Dodger to -- I'm only slightly ashamed to
admit-- even Westlife and S Club 7 (I was young and
I'm a meat and potatoes gal at heart. I love beer and a burger. I
was born with an unnatural bloodlust for pizza. Love good Indian,
Chinese, and Mexican food (which-- does this alien thing exist in
LA? I keep hoping but I ain't found it...). I also approve heartily
of crisp bacon.
