I'm just a city boy, born and raised in south Detroit...or wait, I think that's a Journey song. Hmm, lets see. Well I'm from the Detroit area originally.

I headed south and called Atlanta home for about 4 years for grad school and then work. A work promotion then brought me back to the Midwest and to Cincinnati were I spent a solid 7 months. Now work has brought me back "home."

I'm fairly laid back. Sweet, funny, witty, smart, you know, swell stuff like that, at least I hope. I can be a bit shy sometimes. I'm a bit nerdy. I'm left handed, am almost always bearded, unless I'm not and always wear glasses, unless I'm sleeping or showering or swimming, cause who wears glasses during those things. I like to cook and I'm not half bad, I mean I'm not gonna go pro or anything but I can make a mean dinner. I have 2 dogs, they're swell too, but they will jump up on you and one is pony sized but thinks he's a tiny dancer.

things I like: art, music, movies, hikes, nature, ice cream, hanging out with good people, good conversations, old school Nintendo games, photography, cooking, eating, cooking shows, sports, bourbon, laughing, sleeping, photos of baby animals (if you don't like this we can't be friends, also you may not be human), Atlanta, the south, Cincy, travel.

Finding someone that likes some of those things as well would be nice. Someone who has a good idea of what they want.

I think every great romance needs two things, chemistry and timing.

Working a lot. Readjusting to being back in Michigan. Plotting where I go next, perhaps. Sleeping, though often not enough. Trying to do things better, often times failing. Hanging out with my dogs. Watching movies. Taking walks. Using a camera, phone or of the DSLR variety or *gasp* film. Looking at stuff.

Photography, sleeping in, making toast, being a nice guy, stuff like that.

Also I can actually make more than a mean piece of toast, though at the moment I don't even have a toaster, so if you want toast, you might be out of luck for now. But if you dig a fella that can cook, well hi.

The spectacles? The beard? Honestly, not a clue, perhaps you can let me know. I hear I have nice eyes too. Once someone told me I had nice eye brows, I didn't know how to respond to that, so I didn't.

Also I often get the "you look like someone...." so no, it's not me and I don't know them, but tell them I said hey.

I've also had loads of folks tell me I look like Edward Norton, including a 70 something woman while I was working. I don't see it, but I'll take it.

Movies - The Big Sleep, Casablanca, good will hunting, life is beautiful, Chung king express, anything by Wes Anderson, Chasing Amy, fox and the hound, and many many more.

Music - pernice brothers, josh Ritter, Elliott smith, the national, avett brothers, mumford and sons, the damnwells, bon iver, angus and julia stone, Wilco, Elbow, Titus Andronicus, neutral milk hotel, otis redding, van morrison, the lumineers, civil wars, arcade fire, the white stripes, Frontier Ruckus, Spoon, the black keys, James Vincent McMorrow, Keaton Henson, etc. If you like most of that we'll probably get along swimmingly.

TV shows - How I Met Your Mother, scrubs, Sports Night, Arrested Development, castle, Simpsons, Top Chef, pushing daisies, the west wing, dexter, game of thrones, the league.

Sleep, my dogs, art, friends, other good things.

I spend too much time thinking about way too many things.

Probably doing one or more of the following:
Work, hanging out, watching tv/movies, at a baseball game, a bar, shooting pool, time traveling or something else.
