Books: I Read a lot. I don't have any life changing experiences,
but there are a few books that made my imagination run wild or made
me think and those are the one I like best. Some highlights are the
Mistborn Trilogy,
Firestarter, The Genocidal Healer, Hard-Boiled Wonderland and The
End of the World, Good Omens and the
Wheel of Time Series.
Movies: All things including Bill Murray, Jackie Chan or
Christopher Walken. Things Directed by Wes Anderson, Tim Burton or
Hayao
Miyazaki. I recently started watching Jimmy Stewart movies and
I now know why so many people liked him. I'm a real sucker for good
fight Choreography and I love watching old kunfu movies because
they don't try to hide the combat with flashy effects. I watch a
lot of foreign films too. Off the top of my head Pan's Labyrinth,
Amelie, Seven Samurai and an incredibly old film simply called
'M'.
I also like a lot of disney movies. Not so much the classics, but
more along the lines of Mulan, Hercules and Atlantis. I like
animated things in General. Up was a big hit on my list and I
really liked How to Train your Dragon. I watch my share of anime as
well. As mentioned before Miyazaki , but also stuff like Cowboy
Bebop or Ghost in a Shell.
Music: I like all sorts of stuff from musicals to metal. So I'll
just name several.
St. Vincent, Fiona Apple, System of
a Down, Yoko Kanno, Flogging Molly, Gogol Bordello, The Dresden
Dolls, Muse, Trans Siberian Orchestra, Foo Fighters, Stone Temple
Pilots, Airborne Toxic Event, MC Frontsalot,
Caro Emerald and Regina
Spektor
I really like getting music recommendations, so feel free to
suggest something if you think I'd be interested.
Food: I love to cook and enjoy so many different types of food and
I'm constantly on the look out for new recipes. That being said
it's really hard to pick favorites. Some are
chorizo, chile rellenos, braciole, tofu,
sushi, soy chum, banh mi, salmon, pesto, hummus, pineapple, mango,
mashed butternut squash and garlic cooked in anyway on anything.
