I love to laugh--at myself as much as at others. I believe in social justice and radical tolerance, so I do take some things seriously, but I tend to dwell on the brighter side of life. Happiness is a choice after all.

My passion is writing. I'm currently working on a young adult novel, and I am lucky enough to have a great job where I am surrounded by creative people while I work on it. When I am not working (or writing) I'm always trying to learn something new, whether it's how to knit a blanket, make the perfect bolognese or use an SLR camera.

I am sort of a foodie, but I can also enjoy a good beer and a burger. I love to bike and swim and just in general move, but I always make time to read and catch a favorite show. I love to explore our beautiful city, but I would also love to stay in with that special person.

I work in administration and I write in my free time. Ideally at a certain point I will be able to support myself solely through writing and teaching.

cooking and fixing things. I'm the youngest of seven and I think the only way my parents could handle so many kids was to teach us all to be useful and self-sufficient.

Probably my hair. It's nonstop awesome.

Sometimes I think about irreverent things like Zombies. I'm 99.9% certain that a zombie apocalypse is an impossibility, but that .1% keeps me up nights. Mostly, I think about more practical things like how I can get the characters of my story to do what I want or how I can have a positive impact on the world.
