I am obsessive, introverted, and open-minded.

My Self-Summary

Hmm, I love to read. I like music a lot, but I am not overly picky about what I listen to.

Completed two years at Bowling Green State University but I'm taking some time off for financial reasons. I grew up in Toledo, Ohio. I'm not the most talkative person until I've known you for a little bit or we get on a magic topic, then I can ramble with the best of 'em. I have a few close friends, and some work acquaintances, but that is about it. I have known my best friend since 5th grade, and most of my other friends I met through her, judo, college, or most recently work.

I love reptiles, my brother has many bearded dragons, and a Savannah monitor, he also has the skeleton of a chameleon still in its cage...what can I say my whole family is crazy (me especially). I want to get a snake for my first pet. I get along super with my mom...we are VERY alike. I also get along decent with the older younger brother (the one with the reptiles). I am still not very pleased with my father...he put my family through a lot of shite and I still haven't fully forgiven him. The divorce really messed up my youngest brother, me and Tim sided with mom right away but John was put in the middle and it really messed him up. Now he lives with dad but he doesn't have any boundaries and is allowed to just play on his computer or games all day....I really worry for him some times.

I am not religious, and not sure of my beliefs-or ideas. I was raised catholic and went to catholic schools for 12 years, would have gone my senior year but there were money problems. It is ok though cause I loved my senior year...it was easy as break-n-bake cookies....just read all day mostly.

I plan on majoring in Early Childhood Education (gonna teach the little 'uns). I have always been good at getting ideas across, and even had to translate from "teacher" to "student" in a couple of my classes during high school. I have always caught on quick and been able to explain things. I am also great with little kids, which comes in handy when I'm teaching the beginners class at judo. I was even drafted into teaching a senior class when I went back home for a visit, despite my protests that I had not been on a mat in nine months, and was told I explained things very well.

My brain works in weird ways. I absorb so much info and at random times it spurts out, but I'm not sure if its real or just a bunch of horse puckey. An example: I worked in the attendance office my senior year, I was sorting the IDs and someone asked what the CBD on them stood for, it was a coding for the buses and I blurted out "Cross Boundary Districts" it sounded right and it ended up being right, but I was pretty sure I had never heard that before.

I also dream of the future, but can't remember it so it just feels like dejavu. They have been getting longer and longer and I remember in the dreams thinking "I remembered that didn't make sense then but it does now" in the dream, and then thinking it again in the real experience, or remembering what I was going to look at next. It doesn't happen too often but the first one I clearly remember was in 7th grade, I was sitting in the office and it seems so familiar, I thought I was just remembering another time in the office but I was remembering things that were new and couldn't have been from those other times...I realized I had been dreaming it for years.

Well this seems long and convoluted enough (hey they did say "the more, the better"...or at least they used to), if you have actually read all this WOW and thanks, and since you seem to enjoy long rambling posts check out my journal at www.greatestjournal.com/users/yinyangscurse (I haven't really been posting there much, but feel free to check it out anyways)

What I’m doing with my life

Killing time on the computer when I'm not at work, trying to eat better and exercise more.

I’m really good at

entertaining/annoying my friends, random spurts of creativity, rambling, reading, procrastinating, math, and recently crochet

The first things people usually notice about me

Well according to one of my friends "you are one of those girls I hate cause from the back you look like you would make a really hot guy". Besides that it would probably be the sores and scars on my body from my eczema (its really bad dry skin, that for me itches so much I end up scratching and getting open sores) its getting better lately, but I still have breakouts, and the scars will always be there of course.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

BOOKS: Neil Gaiman is a recent favorite author. American Gods was amazing and all of his other books that I have read have been great also. Terry Pratchett is another favorite author of mine. I have been a fan of the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind since I was in about sixth grade and my dad started reading them, although I haven't read the last two or so because I had done a re-read of all the others and needed a break of the Terry Norris/Chuck Goodkind. Since I have moved to Columbus I have read the Crown of Stars series by Kate Eliot and the Wayfarer Redemption series by Sara Douglas. I think next is Douglas Adams. I also read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in 36 hours, and in the words of the Doctor, "Oh, I cried." I am constantly reading though so it is pretty hard for me to pick favorites (ignore the mention of favorites earlier those are authors not books).

MOVIES: the Harry Potter movies, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Anastasia, Watchmen, Slumdog Millionaire, Ghost in the Shell, Labyrinth, Boondock Saints, Fifth Element, Pirates of the Caribbean, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Dogma, Finding Nemo, The Order, Kill Bill, Fight Club and many more

MUSIC: www.last.fm/user/yinyangscurse is the quickest answer

FOOD: my mom's cooking. Italian, Mexican, potatoes (hey I was born in Idaho they are their own food group), Thai, Indian, Chinese...

The six things I could never do without

Books, my mom, my best friend, the internet, raspberries (smell, fruit or sound), bubbles/play-doh/random things that bring out the inner child in me

On a typical Friday night I am

Getting home from work, eating dinner, then chillin' in front of my computer or the TV till I am sufficiently tired to go to sleep to wake up and go back to work...joy.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I've only ever really had two handles or variations of them: gdcka or yinyangscurse.
Not really the most private but *shrug*. Ya wanna know the nitty gritty just ask.

You should message me if

You aren't offended by people that don't talk a lot. I have very wide interests so feel free to ask questions...I love answering them.
