My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Moved back in the DC/VA/MD area two years ago and starting to find out all my friends are married, have kids, or about to have kids.... need to expand my social circle pretty much from scratch.

Active (who here is not, really), a has-been gym rat, but age has finally caught up to me. I revert back to the running, swimming a bit more. Not a competitive swimmer by any means, but I can hold my own in the pool. Aspire to do a triathlon one day, but I am not sure if that will ever really happen.

Just like about everyone here, I've traveled some in the past...Italy, Switzerland, Turkey, Greece, India to name a few. Not a world traveler by any means. Though I will admit that hosteling has an age limit and I am getting pretty damn close to it.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Right now, I am starting to plan my big year for 2013. Will have close to 2 months off (that's what you get for working for Obama).
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being calm in difficult situations, telling people to chill and using the quote "you can't fight fire with fire, you can't fight evil with evil."
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I glow... a side effect of spending three years working on nuclear reactors... and I am not even exaggerating.

Books - I have to admit, haven't been doing much reading lately. I found Eat, Pray and Love very inspirational, and just started on the Hunger Game series, which surprisingly, is pretty good. And I try to live by Rick Steves whenever I can when I travel.
Movies - Pulp Fiction, Austin Powers, The Avengers... this list goes on.
Shows - Recently got addicted to the Big Bang Theory. Used to love Storage War until they have this lamn ass Texas version. And I saw Phantom of the Opera three times... the play, not the movie.
Music - Anything in the 90s and early 2000s. Jack Johnson and Norah Jones are high on the list. Definitely none of that Bieber crap.
Food - Everything.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I am going to answer this question instead... six basic Asian survival skills...

1) karate
2) ping-pong
3) karaoke
4) math
5) suntan lotion
6) SLR camera

I know I know, the last two are not skills.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Would I rather fight a one horse sized duck or a hundred duck sized horses...
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Usually hanging out with friends, maybe playing some pool. Other than that, a dinner and movie is pretty ideal. Sometimes I prefer nothing but to stay in and spend time with my wonderful but impossible to control 3 year old niece.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I once almost got arrested in Budapest, almost...

If you know where this quote came from, "That's when you know you've found sombody really special. When you can just shut the fxxk up for a minute and comfortably share silence."
