My self-summary
I grew up in the east bay, and, after spending a few years in LA, I came back, and have pretty much stuck around since then.

I'm pretty active, both working and playing, and a little mix of the two. I've got a computer geek streak, which is why I say it's a mix of the two, since I write software for a living, but I also like messing around with that kind of stuff at home too. Somewhere along the line, I got into running and swimming. Haven't added biking to the mix - too many accessories involved. I'm not super hard-core - I tend to stop when it stops feeling good, so I haven't done a full marathon yet.

I also practice anusara yoga. I'm opening myself up a little more to different styles, with all the teachers that seem to be leaving, but the trantric roots resonate with me.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm pretty happy with my life. Each of my jobs seem to get cooler and cooler, and my coworkers keep getting smarter. Work is usually fairly demanding, but rarely a burden. While more free time would be nice, it's a nice enough balance - a job that I love that provides enough financial security that I can enjoy life and not worry about money.

My Saturdays usually start off with a run, ending at the farmers market. Then, I usually try to get some work done on one of my fun projects if time permits, and returning and getting new library books. Sometimes, I'll keep books past their due date so I can contribute late fees to the library, though, with the kindle, it's all automated.
I’m really good at
yo yo's. And tying my shoes. No. Really. I have a nifty way to tie my shoelaces.

Counting up to 1023 on my fingers. Well, I'm not really good at it, but I'm probably better than the average person.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Certainly, not a complete list:
Books: Omnivore's Dilemma, By the River Piedra, I Sat Down and Wept, Expert C Programming: Deep C Secrets (a.k.a. "The Butt-Ugly Fish Book"), Murakami, Gurumayi.
Movies: Princess Bride, Death to Smoochy, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind
Music: Oh, this changes constantly. More often than not, you'll catch me listening to classical or jazz, or electronica when I'm working.
Food: Peter's Kettle corn. Oh, other kettle corn will do, Peter's is addicting.
The six things I could never do without
The Sunday NY Times Crossword. I have a slight addiction. The weekday crossword, I could probably survive without them, though I haven't tried.

My library card. (Actually, the little key fob)

My Clipper card. I have some nostalgia about the paper Muni Pass, but progress marches (usually) forward.

Good coffee. I'm not a snob - as long as it's not over roasted, I'll drink it. But, I love good Kenyan coffee.

My iPhone. Mainly because of aforementioned crosswords, but also nextbus.

My Vitamix.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
If I smell or not.

How to optimize my public transit route. And, when I drive, how to optimize gas mileage. Unless that cab cuts me off, then efficiency be damned!
On a typical Friday night I am
It's hard to know what I'll feel like when the end of the week finally comes. It's usually happy hour with friends, watching whatever we're showing at the office, or just getting home and collapsing on the couch.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm thinking about what I'm going to eat afterwards when I'm in savasana.
