I am eclectic, sarcastic, and outdoorsy.

My Self-Summary

I'm a bit hard for most people to figure out. I'm a technology geek that is also drawn to roughing it in the wilderness without any technology for miles. At the same time I enjoy anything else from the theatre and performing arts, cooling down at home with friends and family, working out, or catching a movie. I've recently taken a raw foods class and trying to work on integrating raw foods into my diet more and more despite constant ribbing from friends and coworkers. And at the same time love going to Fuddrucker's or Five Guys for a cheeseburger. I travel fairly extensively with work so some find it peculiar that I enjoy traveling in my free time. I love seeing different parts of the world and meeting people from different cultures. Most of the time I end up traveling to the Pacific NW though when I travel for pleasure. As my ID states I really enjoy yoga (especially Bikram or Hot Yoga) among other esoteric studies and practices. As far as outdoors activities that fill my free time... I spend a lot of time mountain biking, trail running, whitewater kayaking and snowboarding (although a friend of mine is trying to convert me to the dark side and become a skier), but I am definitely open to other things and love to try something new. My big thing now is barefoot running and getting into trail marathons and ultramarathons. Done two marathons but haven't done a ultra yet. Got an achilles injury right now but planning on trying to get back ready for the Pine Mtn 40 in Dec and want to run the TransRockies next summer. Then the Trans Man the year after.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm in the consulting business so I spend some time in various cities around the country and at rare times outside the country. I enjoy it though since I get to meet all kinds of people and get paid to see the country. I'm just looking to meet people who enjoy having a good time and knows when to be serious but is also open to have a good time and just meeting new people to hang with.

I’m really good at

I consider myself a bit of a jack of all trades. I know that might sound pretentious but what I REALLY mean to say is I'm not really good at any one thing but ok at a bunch of stuff and always interested in learning new stuff. I'm really into bikram yoga (as is evident by my username), snowboarding, photography, camping, hiking, mountainbiking, whitewater kayaking, surfing, movies, theatre, scuba diving, music of all varieties, working out, cooking, bonsai, travel, ... you name it as soon as I try it I'll probably fall in love with it... My latest interests are sky diving and celtic fiddle. I haven't done either yet but looking into both.

The first things people usually notice about me

I've frequently got some kind of minor injury. Mostly from mountain biking (free ride mostly). Right now it's actually from barefoot running (wait a minute isn't this barefoot stuff supposed to let me run injury free?) :)

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

(A) Dantes Inferno and Born to Run (B) PCU (C) Fragile Procelain Mice (and many, many others) (D) All of them... Indian, Carribbean, BBQ, Chinese, Italian, to name a few but not particularly in that order.

The six things I could never do without

1. My family 2. My friends 3. My snowboard 4. My mountain bike 5. My work (I love it) 6. My computer (unfortunately)

I spend a lot of time thinking about

The state of the world and our nation and how I/we can improve it?
My first step has been moving from my gas guzzling performance car to a Jetta TDI. Going green is fun! :)

On a typical Friday night I am

It depends... Could be packing up for a early morning kayaking trip or Hanging out with some friends intown or even staying at home cleaning up... just depends on my mood and what's on my todo list.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I, like most men (probably all men really :)), don't really understand the female mind but always willing to listen...
