After joining the group "my friends are getting married and I'm getting drunk" and being the only single person at outings with friends far too many times, I realised it may be time to try the new world of dating.
I live for friends and family but I need to escape my circle of trust.
Upon meeting me, you will notice that I speak rather deliberately compared to many people.
At least 10 people have told me that I have a Texan accent. I find that funny since I’ve only spent one night in Amarillo while driving from Chicago to LA.
I’d rather not take you to a restaurant or a café on a first date; it would be too much like an interview. Instead I'd take you on a bike ride or we'd go to a volunteer event or a food tasting event together.
I get three weeks of vacation a year. Therefore, my “vacations” tend to be crammed with visits to many cities and countries. Also, I make it a point to rent a car in any foreign country I visit. The exception so far has been India. If you’ve been to India, you’d know why.
During the week, I am a vegetarian by convenience as I am too impatient to cook any meat. Most of the time I simply steam broccoli in a pan, douse them in olive oil and sprinkle them with garlic seasoning and voila! Maybe you'll have some more creative but easy to prepare menus?
I was still asleep at home on the fateful morning of 9/11/2001. My then manager had left a voice message on my voice mail informing me that I can take the day off due to the “Trade Center collapse.” At that very moment, I had no idea what he was talking about and the gravity of the situation did not register with me.
You’ll find me on my road bike most weekends when the weather is warm enough and not raining. I flew up to Seattle to buy my newest road bike. It was a crazy idea but it was worth every penny.
I like to visit modern art museums in the cities I visit. Some favorites are: Pompidou Center in Paris, MoMa in New York City, ZKM in Karlsruhe, Germany, The Reina Sofia in Madrid, The Guggenheim in Bilbao.
I like to live frugally in general but to spend generously for people who matter to me.
I am de-crapping my room on an ongoing basis.
I don’t watch much TV. I’d be the wrong person to ask about the latest episode of “House” or “How I Met Your Mother.” However, I've recently gotten into "Sherlock," thanks to one of my house mates.
I’ve had a goal of reducing my weight to 150lbs. since last year but my weight has hovered at around 155 no matter how much I’ve ridden my bike or jogged.
So far I've used the word "I" too many times and I'm looking forward to hearing from YOU!
