Everyone tells me that you'll find someone when you aren't looking or you least expect it... but it doesn't seem to be happening.

I guess I'd have to say I'm fairly normal, laid back, and easy to get along with.
I tend to be more on the artsy side with a love for honesty, beauty, and knowledge.

I'm a kind soul, a thinker, a musician, a skateboarder, computer nerd, vintage motorcycle nut, hobbiest photographer, conversationalist, a good friend...
the list goes on.

I've heard the phrase, "you're such a great guy and a great girl is going to come along" too many times and I haven't found her yet and that phrase has lost all meaning.

I've always believed life is about proper balance and that a relationship should be balanced and equal as well.

With that being said...
There's also been an apparent lack of balance in my "work hard/play hard" philosophy for far too long and I could really use some assistance.

Well, I'm working and going back to school full-time ... it keeps me productive, busy, and on my toes.
I'm studying Computer Information Systems and Technology...

I used to live in the city and hope to get back up there soon.
I keep saying that but I'm hoping to actually make it happen after this winter.
I've been living about 45 minutes east of Chicago... in nowheresville, Indiana.
I miss living the city!

When I'm not at school or working I may be... doing homework, at a concert, in the barn working on a motorcycle, having drinks with friends, skateboarding (weather permitting), randomly obsessing over something on the web, at a bookstore, creating or playing music, getting coffee, in transit, or doing laundry.

I'm basically an interesting and intelligent loner that no one ever seems to give a chance... a week or two and their on to the next one.

I try to excel at everything I get involved with.

I don't know, you tell me.
Probably that I'm skinny, have a good understanding of style, or the gap between my teeth.

Books:
Dharma Bums, On the Road, Catcher in the Rye, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenane...classics. Mainly I'm reading computer, vintage cycle or music related magazines... Popular Science and/or Mechanics, Filter, or Wired magazine are favorites as well.
Something that gives me quick insight or spoon-fed knowledge. Otherwise, I'm reading text books or assigned reading for school.

Movies:
There will be Blood, Inception, 500 Days of Summer, Buffalo '66, Primer, Donnie Darko, Inglorious Bastards, Cemetery Man, Serpico, Mean Streets, the Untouchables, Psychomania, Hell's Belles, The Burbs, Vacation, the Jerk.
...just a few.

TV:
I don't watch TV and I don't have Netflix....
MadMen, Twilight Zone, X-files, Twin Peaks, the Inbetweeners, Married with Children.

Music:
I like quite a variety of music, love to be turned on to new things, and listen to everything with an open ear.
My taste varies day by day.
Some of my staples are; Link Wray, T.Rex, the Beatles, Hank Williams, the Stooges, fIREHOSE, Slowdive, Sinatra, Dean Martin, Ray Charles... just a few.

Food:
Mexican, Indian, Thai, Italian, Chinese, a nice steak ... there isn't much that I don't like.
Well, I don't like sushi at all. (sorry)

I'm always thinking about something and I'm quite curious of what others spend their time thinking about.

A lot of times I just go to bed early so I can take full advantage of my Saturday.
Society doesn't dictate how I spend my Friday evenings.

You should do whatever you choose... but it is always nice to get messages.
