My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am brand new to Boulder. The following needs to be updated. I'm a poet/writer/teacher/editor who paints, sculpts, & is passionate about literature, independent and foreign films, travel, weight lifting, basketball (NBA-- love of finely sculpted arms, thugs moving w/ grace), & calm. I'm urban, fiery & cultured. I don't like lazy minds or bodies. I'm assertive and direct; I try to communicate openly & I'm a fantastic listener. I'm inquisitive & analytical. I give selflessly to those I love, & I love intensely. I'm also especially sweet. I am from Portland & miss home. I hate to drive, & folks in Boulder seem to hate me because as a true Portlandian, I stop for pedestrians. Stop flipping me off for letting people cross the damn streets. And please stop acting like you'd like to drive right over my Mini Cooper in your monstrous vehicle. There is a lovely human & small pup inside. Get over yourselves & get a dose of Portlandia. Whew!

I'd like to meet an articulate, urban intellectual who reads a lot (pop fiction does not count) and who loves & has time/funds to travel. Be sensitive, introspective, witty, creative, dynamic, sensual. I'd like a man who does not need to be coddled & who appreciates a strong woman. I need someone who's trusting & entirely trustworthy. Be goofy enough to make me laugh at truly inappropriate moments. I'm attracted to men who are writers, readers, thinkers or artists rather than he-men who can out bench press me. Out! Out! Begone with the following: players, flakes, fiends (drug), boy toys (hmm?), SUV-driving suburbanites, Republicans, & dolts. Please, be a gentleman.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Exploring & creating. Wandering in this weird new zone where it snows. Wondering why I'm here & who might help me figure it out.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
analyzing & discussing literature & film

not having, wanting, or liking tattoos

consulting for a top literary journal

walking like a New Yorker; hence, I don't run or bike
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have bangs & make eye contact. Perhaps, however, it's my dog.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You have actually read my bit above & fit the gist.

You read & know the difference between literature & schlock.

You are highly educated & gainfully employed. Also, you are not cheap, which is simply a turn-off.

You are not seeking a hipster or hippie chick; you can relate to a woman who does not frequent thrift stores.
