My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
My life is about learning, love, connection and fun! One of the biggest parts of my personality that I feel would be important to convey is that I am open and adventurous. This means a genuine interest in things and people that are new to me - understanding that I can learn something from each. I love the feeling of meeting new people, listening to their story, exploring our perspectives to uncover where we connect and where we may not.

I stay busy with many different interests and pursuits, yet understand and value balance. Some of the things that keep my attention. My career in nutritional psychology, yoga, travel, taking my dog to the park, running, live music, anything outside, cooking beautiful healthy nourishing food, festivals, meditation, spending time with friends, reading, visiting with family and playing with my 2 amazing nephews, culinary program in Colorado, running the online platform of an antiques auction business, exercising, finding common ground, listening, being there, practicing mindfulness.

I discovered my real passion in work within the last few years and recently changed careers. I am in private practice doing nutritional counseling and also work in marketing for a large company. I am truly happy and fulfilled in my work!

I know who I am and am ready to share it!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Progressing. Learning. Lots of laughing.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Knowing what the situation calls for... and then doing it, calling a spade a spade, relating, nurturing, articulating, showing up for the people I care about, seeing the best in people and situations. I have been told I am extremely supportive.

I think I should mention here too, that I may be an overly competitive board game player... :)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That I am listening intently. Physically, my eyes are the thing I get the most immediate comments on.

Personality wise, I am almost certain that the first impression involves trying to figure out my wit or sarcasm, but I am actually very warm, direct, open and honest... once you get past the dry humor.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Book reads are typically philosophy, health, food, theology or love:
Eat To Live, Simple Abundance, A New Earth, The Everything Nutrition Book, Memoirs of a Spiritual Outsider, Autobiography of a Yogi, The Power of Decision, The Art of Happiness, The Alchemist, Clean, Nourishing Wisdom, The Four Agreements, Celestine Prophecy...

Don't watch much TV but I do enjoy movies. A few that come to mind...Gandhi, Food Inc., Serendipity, Hungry for Change, Stranger Than Fiction, Shawshank Redemption, The English Patient, Pineapple Express, Beverly Hills Cop (no I'm not kidding:), I Heart Huckabees, Usual Suspects, Old School, Love Actually, Forks Over Knives, Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.

Music is a passion of mine, so I am usually up for checking out live shows. Favorites are soulful, singer songwriter types with a story and a passion to get it out there. Pretty varied taste...
Sean Costello, Amos Lee, King Johnson, Brandi Carlile, Aretha, Derek Trucks, Cake, The Wood Brothers, Galactic, Herbie Hancock, Joe McGuinness, Ingrid Michaelson, Ray Charles, Eddie Vedder, Garcia/Grisman, Ray LaMontagne, Mumford & Sons, The Black name a few.

Food: I love food. I am kind of a health nut, so you won't find me "driving through" anything. I am definitely conscious of what I put in my body!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Freedom, connection, music, books, exercise, delicious healthy food!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to be effective and positive in my work and my relationships.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
- Headed to my friends' house(s) to hang out and catch up
- Working if necessary
- Cooking/Hanging out at home with my pooch
- Leaving an outdoor festival, deciding what to do for dinner
- Having friends over for a back yard fire
- Going to hear some live music (I prefer smaller more intimate shows over large arena performances, but I'm open ;)

I enjoy the spark of excitement that comes with exploration...especially with good company. I love the outdoors and checking out new places... I love and need down time too. Live music absolutely feeds my soul.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I like to look cool but I'm actually really kind of a dork :)
