My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I just turned 39...I just finished my MBA...I live at Yonge/Eg...I am looking to meet the right woman who will make my already awesome life just that much sweeter.

I'd like to chat and then take you for a drink and together we can end this silly singleness and move on with our lives...hand in hand....well, hand in claw...ok just kidding, I have all my body parts :)

- I've been to 20+ countries (Favorites cities: London, Paris, Boston and Sydney...fave countries: Japan, Thailand and Australia)
- I am decent cook
- I have two environmental degrees (Bach and Masters) and am an MBA
- I have one tattoo
- I am a wine and beer snob
- I have an eclectic taste in art. The walls of my place have photographs, aboriginal art, animation art, comic art, street art and a Jackson Pollock (obviously a reprint)
- I think tomatoes are evil
- Photography is a serious hobby of mine
- I collect signed literary novels (i.e. Christopher Moore, Stephen King as well as Giller/Man Booker/Pulitzer types) and signed movie posters (Coolest is probably my Forbidden Planet poster signed by Leslie Neilson)
- I attend a fair number of film festivals (TIFF, Hot Docs, Short Film fest) and pretty much all the literary festivals (WOTS, IFOA, Appel events) fests every year. I have no expectation that these are your thing but would love it if my interests were shared to a degree.

**PLEASE NOTE**

If you aren't actually in Toronto, then please update your profile accordingly. I don't want to sound like a jerk but Brampton, Barrie, Oshawa, St Catherines et al are not Toronto and I want to date somebody who actually lives in the city.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Attending all the fun summer festivals in the city ... I run a book club that occasionally hosts authors and such (I started it in 2009)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Planning trips and organizing things. Being creative when inspiration strikes.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Sense of humor mostly ... Which is now where I am supposed to make some super witty joke that will make you believe I have a sense of humor ... however, I am not going to do that ... that's right "old buck convention Alex" they call me ... never makes the joke you expect him to.

Music
I am pretty stuck on the alternative stuff from the 1990's and classic 80's as I don't listen to the radio or have cable. I do add stuff on occasion if I hear something I like in a movie or tv show though. Nothing notable this year.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
At the end of the day "stuff" is just "stuff". People are what really matter. I certainly have my share of possessions that I love but if the apartment was on fire, I'd grab my cat first and then probably my laptop.

In a less serious vein...I have an unnatural affection for diet pepsi...
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What the next cool event in the city is and who to go with...where life is going...I don't know...stuff...does "stuff" count?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
There is no typical...it depends on the season and what's happening...it often seems to be a movie/dinner night with friends...in the summer it seems to be more festivals...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've met the real Kermit the Frog and getting to shake his hand was unspeakably cool...I will admit to being a bit overwhelmed by the experience...my picture with Animal sitting on my shoulders (which I am forbidden to share online) is my favorite photo ever.
