Well howdy there friends, and future friends.

I am really used to having straight guy friends, and now they have moved away, and its kind of difficult to find just relaxed fun people who enjoy a beer and some pool. ..even though I suck at pool.

I am pretty swell. I read a lot, write a lot, and enjoy a night out on the town more than anything else.

My energy is directly related to other people; I love being around someone with a big personality. I voted for Obama, even though I am a gay republican (who also realizes how ridiculous it sounds) with a preppy style and awkward laugh. I love the south and country music.

While I can seem kind of cocky, I really am firmly grounded in the fact that no one should take himself or herself too seriously.

I was raised in a mixed family (bro and sis from my dad's prev marriage, other bro from my mom's prev marriage). Even though each of us is crazy, mixed-up, and lost, we do all of those things brilliantly. We are a close family; I was raised in Jersey until I was 9. While they are quite a bit older than I am, we retain this close-knit bond that most families lose. My mother is one of the most important people to me, and I believe my father is one of the most intelligent people living in our time. We love to drink, we love to eat, and we love to love.

I recently graduated with my Bachelor's in Creative Writing and Women's Studies. BUT, I am definitely not one of those moody shut-in writer types. Primarily, I love meeting new people and talking about their histories.

Now, I am getting my Master's in Communications. Who knows what's next for me!

I am really smart, but people don't really know it when they first meet me. One of my best features is my ability to connect with others.

I really like short stories. Southern lit is my speciality, and as such I am HUGE William Faulkner fan. Sound and the Fury is my all time fave. Harry Potter series also rates highly on my list. Haha.

-I write short stories about peoples lives when the 'everyday' is interrupted, and I think country music is very similar. It is very difficult to find a country song that isn't about a person and his or her relationship to another.-

I spend a lot of time thinking about what I want out of life and enjoying what I have.

With friends for sushi, and then to a club or bar...

Well I guess this my *ideal* friday night. These days I find myself become a little more of a homebody. Probably because of my dwindling cash flow, and increased school.

I normally do go out on Friday nights when the feeling is in me, so about 2 or three times a month.

Sushi happens for me about 4 or 5 times a week. UH-dicted.

I've been AWFUL in relationships in the past, now I am trying to right my wrongs. I am really ready to do this right. :-p

Well not awful, I guess I was just moreso the kind of person who had a difficult time expressing why I wanted the things I wanted. I am not needy in a relationship; rather, I tend to ask for a lot of communication on how the other person is feeling. I guess the reasoning is that I want us both to be on the same page with everything and not be drifting and not realize it. You can only fix problems you know about, right?
