My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Wisconsintration camp escapee! Ok, harsh, perhaps, as there is a deep and abiding love for my home. Work wise, I'm a self motivated and self employed interpreter (French, Spanish, German, English.. not kidding about the languages) It's nice to help and learn lots. Life is good :) Most of all, it all allows a chap to meet lots of interesting people, and plenty of freedom to carve personal side projects into the schedule...
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
international philanthropy
sustainable development
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
see below...
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Wisconsinites are trained to brag only when in close and trusted company...and then to claim they never brag :)

Photos, of course, never count as bragging!

And therefore... I'm letting my fellow trusted Wisconsinite (note ironic capitalization in context with intro paragraph) take the keys...

"his friendly and boisterous personality. And is a cutie to boot."

I promise I didn't write that!

... draw lines of best fit between:

Shane Macgowan, Emmy Lou Harris, Steinbeck, Rilke, Sinclair Lewis, classics galore, new and old poetry, vice documentaries, Sergio Leone, any good documentary (the Amy winehouse one was grand) and good old fashioned NAT GEO, kids :)
Bach (bbg concerto especially... makes it seem like slowly sinking into a foggy peat bog would be just fine, actually) Mozart (Requiem and cello suite, especially), Beethoven (the raw power mixed with elation is very nice), Chopin (refined, cartesian, like a horse on dressage), Ton, Steine Scherben, Os Mutantes, Rilke, Leopold, Muir, American frontier -based children's stories translated into French, Eisenstein, Kalatozof (the guy that did Ya Kuba... yeah, this is a dating site...)

Going on and on seems pretentious, listing too little a bit taciturn...

Do people read this anyway? :)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
hikes to hot springs oh, that was California... hot tubs?
bicycles, and others to ride them with
my car (though I almost never use it unless leaving the city and will hopefully part with it soon, and will celebrate the day)
forming new and successful teams to do good in this world
occam's razor
fun fun fun fun fun fun fun (seven for good measure)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
how lucky I am to have good and running water. no joke.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
out with you? No, not you, yes you there, you!

you be fo reauh... as in you'd know meeting is meeting and online is online...

I'm not too hot on steamy epistular back and forths lasting for eternity here. Yes, OKC is charming (much like the romantic hand of destiny itself, really, isn't it?..oh right. good point.), but.... Scout's honor, we might accidentally enjoy ourselves when meeting up... oh, and double Scout's honor, I'm not just looking to skip the 'you' exit on the fast track to getting laid.

Oh, and bonus points if you know and or like this
