I've been by myself a long time. I might have gone feral by now. Not sure. I like to sleep in a cold room (with the radio on) and write in a warm one (where it's quiet). I stop and say hello to almost every dog on the street I see. I don't get caught up in the details. I make decisions quickly. I'm spontaneous -- planning is not my forte. I do my best to be where I said I'd be at the time I said I'd be there. My opinions are generally obvious. It wouldn't hurt if I were a tad more tactful. I often arrive at the punchline long before the end of the joke. If I could manifest other things in my life the way I manifest parking -- consistently -- precisely -- I wouldn't be writing this summary. I'd be enjoying my time with a wonderful, intelligent, caring man who loves me just the way I am.
What I’m doing with my life
Realizing that The Time is NOW; and that carpe diem has never been more apt. I don't have a bucket list, but I'm thinking I might need to get a bucket.
I’m really good at
Cutting to the chase.
Telling the truth.
Acknowledging what's so.
Listening to what people say.
FInding where it hurts.
Helping to release the pain. (physical, more than emotional, but both are true).
The first things people usually notice about me
that I look like someone else they know.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Currently, I can't get enough of The Moth.
I would feel I hit the big time to win at a Moth event.
(I didn't win, but I did come in 3rd at my first (and not ready)
attempt. I'm going back in!!!!!!!)
I have bookshelves (filled) in every room of the house so
naming a favorite is impossible. I can say that the biggest space
on my shelves is occupied by
Writing (as in how-to's)
An equally difficult task...
here are a few that come to mind off the top...
B'fast at Tiffany's
Being John Malkovich
Last Tango in Paris
Raise the Red Lantern
The Hurt Locker
Monty Python & The Holy Grail
anything blues-y and or
with a great dance beat
east coast swing
or any kind of dancing
The six things I could never do without
heart to heart hugs.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
how do I get off the carousel and make my way to the ski jump?
On a typical Friday night I am
see "what I am doing with my life."
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
If your profile has a picture of you on a motorcycle,
if you are a devout christian, have a gun in your home,
or think any of the current republican contenders
would be a good choice to lead our country, I'm so
You should message me if
write me and I'll tell you
