My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hello and thank you for stopping by. I am Paul and live in the Greenwood neighborhood of North Seattle. I am a dedicated father to my amazing 16 year old daughter. A chemist by profession, I work for a state agency and enjoy what I do.

A native of the SF Bay Area, I came to the Northwest in 1979. I was drawn here by love, and stayed for all the natural beauty.
From the mountains to the sea, I love it all.

When young, my friends and I attended many great shows at venues such as the Fillmore West, Avalon Ballroom and mostly Winterland. I was once a FM DJ - mass comm major in the mid-70s to early 80s, before changing directions. I am skilled in radio technical arts and have a passion for live music performances. My tastes run the gamut from psychedelic to blues to punk to grunge to bluegrass to ? Eclectic, I am.

Some of my interests/hobbies include activities related to staying healthy and being active. I love SCUBA diving and have pursued it all over the world. Photography and ham radio are old passions. I am fond of adventure travel and associated cultural enrichment. I would enjoy becoming a licensed pilot, someday.

Another of my passions is reading, particularly science fiction from luminaries such as Greg Bear, Neal Stephenson, David Brin, old William Gibson, Julie Czernada, Jack McDevitt, Harlan Ellison and a slew of others.

I worked construction during my school days and am handy with hammer, concrete, plumbing, electrical and explosives. I am a skilled machinist and have designed and built many projects over the years. I derive great enjoyment from this. I am the son of a successful mechanical engineer and a Barnard educated English lit major.

I've only been married once (seven years) and have been divorced since 2000. My daughter has had two happy homes growing up. She is now almost done with her sophomore year in high school and has started driving!

I enjoy roguish, gallows, British and off the wall humor. Laughter in this absurd world is essential for sanity. I hope for shared mirth with a like- minded partner in crime.

Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Living by the Golden Rule. Seeking a partner in crime, an intimate to share the journey with. Finding meaning, depth and humor from this absurd life. Contributing to the common good with my work. Causing a lot of trouble for humor's sake. Being rock solid for my kid.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Designing, building and fixing things; SCUBA diving; stalwart political uncorrectness; listening; affection; surviving adversity; accepting diversity...
