My self-summary
OK. Let's delete what's been here for some years, mostly untouched. I'm not sure what to put instead.

Let's start with saying that I'm an ENTP. I have my own set of preferences on the issues of faith, politics, philosophy, etc. I don't think there is a universal concept for good, bad, right or wrong. I think we choose according to our style. After all, we are just experiencing being humans at the moment. However, I am an existentialist, and therefore, I'll agree if you believe otherwise. I believe that all we believe materialise around us, that we all have our own universes, and even if they contradict, they can all coexist.

I love discussing something selflessly with someone, just for the sake of finding out new ways of improving our sense of enjoyment in life. Winning or losing an argument has no importance to me, neither do I prefer arguing with those who care. Also, I'm not very good at handling judgemental claims. I believe no one can judge anyone, but themselves. I don't read between the lines, I don't expect anyone to see anything between my lines. I take people's word for what they say, and I let them prove themselves wrong if they are, instead of judging them beforehand myself.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm in a transitional phase, after spending 7 months in South America travelling, and coming back to Istanbul last year, during the protests.

I have worked in a lot of different fields in the past, including the field I've had studied; architecture. I'm the co-founder of a social network which we couldn't yet launch, and also the co-founder of a fund for individual freedom, for which we haven't yet been able to channel a penny. I have photographs I've taken which are yet to be touched in order to make a set. I have songs written I haven't been able to find a place I can make noise recording them. I have ideas for sitcoms, movies, books, I'm mostly not focusing on. I have inventions I haven't even documented properly. I'm telling all this, so those who'll think I'm full of bullshit do not even try. I don't have to do anything, and yet there are all these things coming out themselves, and all I want to do is to be happy.

I either put myself all in to something, or just spend my time carefree. I'm always positive, content, in peace. I couldn't be able to sleep even one night if I wasn't. To me, life is a game, which is only serious when it's fun, and especially when it's fun with company.
I’m really good at
In my experiences, I saw that I'm good at making people find it absurd to feel sad, except for when they like being sad. I think I've also been quite good at getting through impossible situations.

But most of all, I'm really good at doing the things that make me feel happy. The hard part is about doing the things leading to them. And this website is all about that, right?
The first things people usually notice about me
It's almost always the same things. Right after explaining why my name is pronounced with a "j" even if it starts with "c", I have to explain how on earth I have a British accent without being British, each and every f---ing time.

Then comes the pathetic attempt to resist defining a new category for me, and instead try putting me in an existing one out of the villain characters they can think of. I learned how to ignore insultment until people realise. And they do. Ha ha.

If you ask the ones who know me well, well, they would use the same adjectives.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Except for massive amounts of articles I read everyday on Wikipedia and such sources, I rarely read books; again, if you don't count the source books. But I have a huge collection of books that I read and enjoyed in my early days. My favourite is Nineteen Eighty-Four, and I aim to be able to write as clean and elegant as George Orwell.

Anything directed by Stanley Kubrick, Wes Anderson, Terry Gilliam, George Lucas, Woody Allen, David Cronenberg, Blake Edwards, Terry Jones, Coen brothers, Quentin Tarantino, Mel Brooks, or casts Audrey Hepburn, Michael Caine, Peter Sellers. Also, British, Japanese, South Korean, Scandinavian and German movies, and anime in general. I do not criticise movies at all. I accept them, I respect them, and I try to get the most out of each, in my own terms.

I do not watch TV broadcasts at all. However, I watch, and sometimes follow some TV shows, most of which have been British, by downloading or recording them, or obtaining DVDs of them. My favourite TV show of all time is Green Wing. I mostly enjoy britcoms. QI and Doctor Who are some of the things I follow.

The Beatles, The Kinks, Syd Barrett (and early Pink Floyd), Il Genio are the things I mostly listen to these days. I also generally enjoy the psychedelic era and the British invasion, The Velvet Underground, some early punk, NDW, Stereolab, The Byrds, The Animals. I'm very picky about what I listen, but there are bands from many different genres from almost every decade I enjoy listening. Since my early childhood (thanks to my brother) I'm deep into JS Bach, and classical music, mainly baroque. I also enjoy cool jazz.

The best food for me is the food I make. I mostly enjoy rare cooked cuts of red meat, raw fish of any kind or let's say sashimi (preferably salmon, fatty tuna, swordfish) and all types of seafood, anything Japanese, Italian except for the pasta and the pizza (I know). I have a thing for raw broad beans. When I start, I eat kilograms of it.

Tea, single malt scotch, sake, and since South America, good beer. I almost always drink a fizzy drink to go with my meal.
The six things I could never do without
So far, I've managed to do without the many things I had thought were indispensable. But when I have something I like, I enjoy it to the fullest.

In a deeper sense, some of the things I could never do without would be:
* freedom
* peace of mind
* fresh air
* optimised temperature (unless I'm travelling)
* good water to drink, good food to eat
* hot water
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Sometimes I think about something I happen to enjoy following down the hole, sometimes I think in order to find a solution to something.

I make connections between the information I gather, and come up with new information that isn't available otherwise. That is the way I think.
On a typical Friday night I am
I guess nothing is typical for any day of the week for me, as I have never worked in an environment where Friday had any special meaning. On the other hand, many people I know did, so I'm guessing I've been going out more on Friday nights.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I can't think of anything more private I can admit here than the already admitted fact that I have a profile here.

Oh, and as I mentioned earlier, I'm actually back in Istanbul. I don't want the people I know here to see my profile. Also, I think it's better to set my location to where I intend to move.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 23–42
  • Located anywhere
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, casual sex
You should message me if want to. Because, most probably, I won't send a message before you do, even if I find you very interesting; unless a sincere comment or question comes to me naturally.

My priority would be to meet the person I would be with forever. However, even if it happens at all in this lifetime, it may take a while, as it already has, so in the meantime, I can enjoy the company of a friend, or even just small shots of mutually vitalising activity.

Please don't expect me to take a step before you do, or assume I took one. Until you make it obvious, I will always be in friendship mode, even in my mind. Potentially, however, I might release all kinds of intimacy and passion, so investigate as you please.

Also, I would enjoy answering any of your questions, or talking for hours on a subject we are both interested in, with you. In any case, I would prefer meeting in real life at some point, even if it would be as friends. Distance doesn't mean much to me. I have met people from all around the world.
