My self-summary

UPDATE:
-After spending three months in Peru (seeing Lima, Iquitos, Ica, Nasca, Arequipa, Cusco, Puno...), some weeks in Bolivia (Isla del Sol, Copacabana, La Paz, Santa Cruz...), and a month in Buenos Aires; now, I'm in Montevideo.-

I've postponed my move to London and gave myself a break.

I'll go to Iquitos for a spiritual experience; a ten day long shamanic ceremony for the end of the old cycle, and the beginning of the new one according to the Mayan calendar. Then I'll go to Cusco for the new year's before coming back to Lima to stay until February.

Then? We'll see... I want to spend as much time as I can in Latin America. I'll probably go to Bolivia, and then to Buenos Aires and join some friends there, who are also travelling.

A travel partner, or someone who is already in Peru or a nearby country (or will be there) would be great.

Oh, and, this profile is quite old, and I haven't edited it after my first attempt of filling it. So it's probably full of things I wouldn't actually choose to put here. Well... I hope I'm not missing anything by not spending time to change this page...

This site was a place I learned by clicking test links friends sent. Then, the site required me to enter certain information in order to update my details. And here I am, on a dating site. Unbelievable! So, feel free to write.

I lived a vegan life for 5 years, carried naïve sensitivities about the people of the world, wanted to start a revolution and trigger a utopian society during my adolescence, however, after years of understanding life better as I have matured, like the facts of tuberculosis I've been diagnosed and cured in 9 months, or the importance of the freedom of the individual, or that I was already right when I was an infant; before I tried to melt in, later in life, I became an existentialist libertarian carnivore, again! And I'm not putting these under "The most private thing I’m willing to admit here", because there is nothing I see to be ashamed of about them, and I still respect the consistency and good intentions of a vegan, and I don't usually accuse socialists of being cruel, yet I make fun of the latter and vegetarians who are not vegan.

The reason I still use the photos with my long-gone white hair is that there is not many fine photos of me taken since.

Oh, and, my computer is always on; even when I'm sleeping or not at home. And I don't log out. So, when you don't get a reply, it's probably because of that.

I am ..., ..., and ...
What I’m doing with my life
I'm working as a freelance architect, trying to make music and hoping to try shooting films again. I'm trying to sell my apartment (edit: sold) before moving to London to continue my academic studies and start a new life. I'd love to have a place I could call "home" in the fjords of Norway at some point in my life in addition to my home-office in London. Oh and the bajillions of other dreams I have, here I cannot share... Or maybe, perhaps some other day...

Quick edit: I haven't been doing architectural work since late 2010, but instead working for our new tech startup that we've founded in Helsinki (which we're now moving to San Francisco). Although I'm not new to the IT field, it seems there's a lot to learn in the Bay Area for newcomer startups. It's fun!
I’m really good at
Procrastinating, while at the same time getting things done.
Making people find it absurd to feel sad, except when they like it.
Getting through impossible situations.

But most of all, I'm really good at doing the things that make me feel happy. The hard part is about doing the things leading to them.
The first things people usually notice about me
...are usually things contradict with what some other people notice about me; like being talkative/quiet... In other words, they usually tend to hang a sign on me before knowing me enough. But if you ask the ones who know me well, well, they would use the same adjectives.

Update: In US, it's almost always my British accent.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books:
Except massive amounts of articles I read everyday on Wikipedia and such sources, I rarely read books; again, if you don't count the source books. But I have a huge collection of books that I read and enjoyed in my early days.
Some of my favorite books are:
The works of Aldous Huxley, Anthony Burgess, William S. Burroughs, Douglas Adams, George Orwell, Woody Allen

Movies:
Anything directed by Stanley Kubrick, Wes Anderson, Terry Gilliam, George Lucas, Woody Allen, David Cronenberg, Blake Edwards, Terry Jones, Coen brothers, Quentin Tarantino, Mel Brooks, or casts Audrey Hepburn, Michael Caine, Peter Sellers. Also: British, Japanese, South Korean, Scandinavian and German movies, and anime.

Music:
Johann Sebastian Bach (and other classical; mainly baroque), The Beatles, Stereolab, The Velvet Underground, The Kinks, Curved Air, The Animals, Pink Floyd, Sunforest, The Amboy Dukes, Soft Machine, Madness, Air, The Zombies, Shocking Blue, Wendy Carlos, cool jazz; Modern Jazz Quartet, Miles Davis, The Dave Brubeck Quartet, etc.

Food:
Tenderloin rare (beef or lamb or pork), raw fish of any kind or let's say sashimi (preferably salmon, fatty tuna, swordfish) and all types of seafood, anything Japanese, risotto al tartufo/porcini, carpaccio, prosciutto, fish roe and types of seafood spread, many types of pâté and continental cheese, full English breakfast, panna cotta, raw broad beans, fresh pistachios, fresh nuts and fresh walnuts, aaand salmiakki!..

Drink:
Non-alcoholic: Tea (preferably earl grey with milk and honey, or darjeeling, or one of these with a hint of jasmin, or lapsang souchong), root beer, Dr Pepper, Red Bull, anything with guarana, and Coca-Cola of course.
Alcoholic: Single malt (esp. Oban), sake, mixed Bombay Sapphire and Martini Extra Dry.
Not-so alcoholic: Gewürztraminer, Grolsch.

What about TV?
Well, I don't watch TV, at all.
However, I admire and watch the DVDs of most of the British sitcoms (aka Britcoms), such as;
Green Wing (my favorite), The Office, The Thick of It, Blackadder, The League of Gentlemen, Fawlty Towers, Red Dwarf, Black Books, Spaced, Extras, The IT Crowd, etc. Oh, and Doctor Who!..
The six things I could never do without
So far, I've managed to do without the many things I thought were indispensable. But when I have something I like, I enjoy it to the fullest.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
...actually doing something instead of thinking. Yes, I do think of actually doing something.

Edit: Nowadays, our startup, the project we're working on, the Bay Area, and what to do in the Bay Area is all I think.
On a typical Friday night I am
...probably doing something different than what I did last Friday. Because of my work, I don't usually have fixed working days. So, Friday is usually just another day for me. Except, it's a social day for most of my friends, so I guess I socialise more on Friday nights.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
...is that I have a profile on OkCupid (well, you already know that),
