My Self-Summary
I'm really into the arts... and food... and puppies. I guess really, I'm
just into things that make me--and those I care about--happy! I
figure if I'm going to be here for 80 or so years, I might as well
enjoy it, right? Also, I'm a little bit of a dork, especially when
it comes to music stuff.
What I’m doing with my life
Right now I'm a grad student at the University of Washington, and
I'm working on becoming a music librarian (I did mention that I'm a
bit of a nerd, right?). I also work as a barista, which for someone
who loves food, is a pretty okay job.
I’m really good at
I like to think that I'm good at researching. That might seem like
something weird to put on here, but I love to learn about all sorts
of things! Also, and perhaps more importantly, I'm good at helping
out friends. I'll almost always drop what I'm doing to lend a hand
to those in need! It just feels so good to know that you've made a
positive impact on someone's life.
The first things people usually notice about me
"Man, you're tall!" I'm actually only 5'9" (the shorty of my
family), but I hear it all the time! Also, the blue eyes and the
dead-pan sarcasm come up quite often.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I really like reading non-fiction, history type books, but I always
balance those out with a good share of trashy mystery novels. There
are too many good books out there to single out a favorite. As for
music, I like a lot of different styles, but a few of my favorites
include Dave Matthews Band, The Beatles, Jimmy Hendrix, and I'm on
a huge Stephen Sondheim kick right now. A couple of my favorite
movies are Clue and Best in Show--I love watching movies that make
me laugh. And as for food, I'm not a picky eater... I'll eat pretty
much anything.
The six things I could never do without
A comfy pair of shoes, my mom (she somehow always has the
answers!), a good night's sleep, a good friend, chocolate, and
George (my bass clarinet).
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How sweet it would be to be a rock star. Or what I'm going to do
with my life. It's pretty much the same thing either way.
On a typical Friday night I am
There is no such thing as a "typical" Friday night. Sometimes I'm
out at a show, sometimes I'm hanging out with friends, and
sometimes I'm sitting at home reading a good book.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I'm not the type to just hop in the sack with someone. If that's
what you're looking for, sorry! Move on! I like to know I can rely
on guy before I get that far, so I generally make a rule of only
sleeping with guys that I'm in a relationship with.

You're smart, and you have a fundamental understanding of the
English language, and you don't mind that I'm usually pretty busy
with working and interning and school and gigs, etc. Is that too
much to ask?
