My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
In Japan there's a restaurant chain called "Surprise Donkey" (in Japanese, "Bikkuri Donkey"). Despite spending two years over there, I never ate at the Surprise Donkey; I could just imagine taking a big bite out of a juicy hamburger when, all of a sudden, a Japanese chef jumps out and yells "Surprise, Donkey!" (But I'm guessing in that case the donkey would've been more surprised than me.)

"Roses are red,
Bacon is red.
Rhyming is hard...

Hello, I'm Glenn, half lumberjack, half engineer, all man. I'm cerebral, red-headed, and can misremember song lyrics in amusing ways. I'm looking for interesting people with amusing stories.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm paid to use my Georgia Tech brain. Specifically, I develop software for retail sales terminals, which is a lot more interesting than it sounds.

I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Conversation, patience, Software Engineering, and being a smart-ass. And I'm decent at Japanese.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My witty T-shirts. When the women start "reading" (yeah, right) what's written across my chest, I make a point to tell them "I'm up *here*."
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
My favorite TV show is Breaking Boardwalk. It's about a mobster in 1920s Albuquerque who becomes a drug lord. Pretty sure this is an actual thing.

Here's a list of songs that I can't seem to play loudly enough:
"Rocket" - Smashing Pumpkins
"Vapour Trail" - Ride
"Over the Hills and Far Away (live)" - Led Zeppelin
"No One Knows" - Queens of the Stone Age
"007 (Shanty Town)" - Desmond Dekker
"Lit Up" - The National
"Strong Hand" - Chvrches
"Threshold of Transformation" - Isis
"Elevate Me Later" - Pavement
"The Laws Have Changed" - The New Pornographers
"Portions for Foxes" - Rilo Kiley

Naturally I make damn good mixtapes for people I like.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Lindy Hop, music, Wikipedia (free knowledge!), my iPhone, reason, running, and my brain (although it does complain that it wants a peanut whenever I find $20).
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
A way to answer this question in a cleverly recursive manner. Like "I spend a lot of time thinking about the things I should be thinking about." Arrggh. I'll get it someday.

Seriously, though, you're so money and you don't even know it.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Dancing. If you like dancing, too, we should hang out.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I very much want to know whether you're equally comfortable going out or staying in.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
Randomness makes you laugh. You like the cut of my jib. You want to proposition me for long nights of mental acuity testing. Whatever, I'm not particular (regarding your intentions, I mean; I'm *very* particular regarding your intellect).
