Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Who doesn't hate summarizing themselves? High level: I'm a bit of a
geek and nerd. I use a healthy dose of references to sci-fi, anime,
games, or technology. I usually spend my weekdays working in IT and
weekends I tend to spend with my friends having interesting
conversations where we argue over pointless details or trying to
find something novel to do, I'll try anything twice.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I've spent a lot of time these past few years focused on my career
but I'm trying to pull back from work and focus more on the fun
things: movies, concerts, games, or just talking and hanging out
with people. I've also recently being focused on losing weight as
physical appearance does matter especially on dating sites.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Learning, being open minded, considering opposing points of view.
Some people might find my habit of always considering the opposite
point of view kinda annoying but I find it kinda rare that the
other side is actually mustache twirling monsters.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Height usually gets pointed out right away. Aside from that people
mention that I'm fairly quiet when they first meet me but I open up
a lot after I get to know someone.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I'm a big fan of sci-fi and fantasy shows. Oh and pointless action
movies. Yes, yes, I know that destroying a helicopter with a
semi-truck is stupid, but... well I don't have a good comeback for
that, I just like them. To pick a few favorites I'd say 5th
Element, Doctor Who, Star Trek, Firefly, and Avatar the Last
On food and music I like pretty much everything. While driving I'll
generally flip around the radio till something catches my ear but
when at a computer I might be listening to EDM, K-Pop, Indian, or
some other random thing. On food I'll eat anything. American,
Japanese, Thai, Italian, Mexican, Cajun, or Other.
On books I have a strange block. My crowd tends to be a full of
book lovers but I find the long form they take quite often boring
and would prefer something faster paced at delivering information.
In general I enjoy nonfiction written to deliver information so I
tend to read more research papers than books.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1) Friends: without them what's the point
2) The Internet: an unlimited self updating source of knowledge,
what's not to like
3) Cats: fuzzy + cute = win
4) Technology: I don't like living in caves
5) Video games: they're built to be fun and interesting
6) Work: Silly I know but I enjoy working
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I spend a good deal of time thinking about the nature of systems.
These systems can be politics, technology, economics, social
systems, or really anything. I'm more interested in the underlying
structure of the system rather than the system itself.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Hanging out at a friend's house or possibly relaxing at home.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
A few years back I got bizarrely into collecting fancy sneakers. I
don't collect anymore (really just a waste of cash) but I do still
have a bunch of LOUD shoes.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
Shoot me a message if you're looking to hang out sometime or just
chat. The only thing I'll say is that the main reason I'm here to
find people that I can meet up with in person. While online chats
are great, they are no replacement for seeing someone and getting
to know them face to face.
