My self-summary
I create software, food, and patterns. I play violin, piano, and bridge. I compose poetry, music, and myself. I love to run, to sing, and chocolate.

I tend to run hot and cold... I'm either extremely passionate about something, or I'm content with whatever. Sometimes I'm too blunt for my own good, but I'd much rather people be explicit and open rather than being afraid to offend me. If I'm offended or hurt it's my problem, not yours.

What do I bring to the table? I am decisive yet empathetic. I love life, and bring a joyousness to everything that's going on. I can be frighteningly pragmatic when the need arises, and I have a laser-like zen-type calm when things are falling apart. I have everything I could want in my life that one can do independently, and now I'd like a life-partner to share my good fortune with.

I'm looking for someone who can temper my excitement when I'm perhaps too excited, and can help stoke the fire when I'm cold, someone who can be the yin to my yang.

Update: recently I had the marvelous opportunity to officiate my sister's marriage. I got to write a speech for the ceremony, and I'm so incredibly happy for them. I thought I'd share one of my more inspired works:

Love is trusting that your partner has the best in mind for you; that your partner is there for you, and that your partner will unconditionally support you, even if you make a mistake or misjudge a situation.

Unconditional support is accepting that the deed is done and the two of you will face the consequences together.

Love is also about being there to celebrate each other’s successes. Love is a beautiful concept, a beautiful emotion, and a beautiful instrument. Wield it wisely.
