I am independent, introverted, and a bit geeky.

My Self-Summary

I have to believe in a world outside my own mind. I have to believe that my actions still have meaning, even if I can't remember them. I have to believe that when my eyes are closed, the world's still there. Do I believe the world's still there? Is it still out there?... Yeah. We all need mirrors to remind ourselves who we are. I'm no different.

What I’m doing with my life

upgrading to version 3.0

I’m really good at

movie trivia? Yes, I'm sort of a movie nerd. Brownie points for you if ya know off-hand where the movie quote comes from that I 'borrowed' for the above self-summary..

Also- I've won the bronze in "procrastination" three years running..

The first things people usually notice about me

Err. How would I know that? If I had to guess- probably that I'm quite slender...? And/or kinda quiet..

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

-Some music faves: Depeche Mode, Foo Fighters, Garbage, Oingo Boingo, The Cure, Massive Attack, Bad Religion, Green Day, Offspring, Rob Dougan, Moby, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday, various movie soundtracks/ scores..

-Some movie faves: Pirates, Hot Fuzz, Memento, Lost in Translation, Shaun of the Dead, Evil Dead, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Brick, Garden State, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Office Space, Ghost in the Shell, Fight Club, The Matrix, Unforgiven, Blade Runner, Clerks, The Crow, Kung Fu Hustle..

-Don't really watch much TV these days but some faves include (or have included): MST3k, Scrubs, Spaced, Deadwood, Lost, The Amazing Race, Futurama, Ghost Hunters..

The six things I could never do without

Outside of the standard 'hierarchy of needs', I like to think I could "do without" a great deal actually..

I spend a lot of time thinking about

how to say "hello"..

On a typical Friday night I am

probably chillin' with a DVD, if I'm not working..

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

sadly.. that, even if I am interested in you, it is unlikely that I'll initiate contact. (Alas I think that goes for both real life and the 'net. Shyness, she is a harsh mistress.) Hint hint write me write me

You should message me if

you have questions, we have something in common, or you have the slightest bit of interest

.....

Addendum: Potential friends are always welcome but for anything more, I'm afraid I should confess three general, err, "guidelines":

>No children- yeah I have one myself but oddly enough I really don't seem to do so well with other peoples kids

>Sure some extra weight is ok but let's draw the line at about 20(?) pounds or so

>Last but least, 35 or younger please..

Sorry! My apologies. Sounds lame and it is, but recent experience proves I seem to endlessly attract people who fall into one or more of the above categories and I might as well be honest from the get-go. Seems only fair. Am I wrong?
