I'm a liberal atheist teacher vegetarian near vegan I have a Jewish background. I think people that hang toilet paper under have some serious issues. I will debate this with you if you wish, but you'll lose.

It's been an adrenaline fall. Jumped out of a plane for the first time and ran my first marathon. You know how they say the last 6 miles of a marathon are all mental? Well it's a bit physical too, but it *is* a mental battle too. My angel came along on a bike to guide my way. Twas my first race since summer camp. Now the question is do I do it again?

Outside of dorky things like being able to solve a Rubik's cube, my most practical talent is an ability to entertain kids. My target demographic is 5 months to 6 years. Not to brag, but my sense of humor is really too sophisticated for anybody under 5 months.

I think I come off differently depending on the situation. I'm often very quiet with extreme exceptions.

A. Calvin and Hobbes, Vonnegut, Oates, George Bernard Shaw. I gravitate toward nonfiction. I like short stories too. +Nontrashy magazines. Bad online articles too.

B. Independent (ritz), foreign, MST3000- I'm not a big movie person. I feel most popular movies are insultingly bad. Recently saw Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris and do recommend that.

C. mostly folk (Dar Williams Richard Shindell Vienna Teng), Ben Folds, Counting Crows, some modern pop stuff or trashy radio. Lately into Mary Fahl and Foster the People a bit. I kind of like 80s music.

D. No nuts please. No meat either.

I don't have a lot of gadgets. No Ipod, blackberry, tivo. I don't even text. Not to be contankerous, but I feel our obsession with little handheld devices has done little to improve our society. Perhaps I'm frozen in 1995.
I could do without a lot of stuff. The absence of a receptive audience for my bad jokes would be tough though. Currently I'm slightly addicted to the smell of "Fruit of the Earth" aloe vera.

I cried when I read the ending of Bridge to Terabithia. Twice. It's impressive since I'm generally an emotionless android. Actually the latter is probably more private...

I may be looking for a running partner (I prefer the Wissahickon)...within a 7:30-9 minute mile pace. I know, it's a longshot. I usually run solo.
