I work on computer software for a living, but what feeds my soul are things like taking photos, making music, and finding beauty.

I'm married, and ethically nonmonogamous. Perhaps the best term is "monogamish." (Thanks for that one, Dan Savage.)

I really enjoy photography. The photos on my profile are all self-portraits. Maybe I'll take photos of you, if you want!

I play keyboards (pretty well), bass guitar (not very well), sing (pretty well) and occasionally write songs.

I usually have some sort of unnaturally red hair. I change it from time to time, but I always seem to come back to the red!

Film noir is always good. Dramatic black and white photography? Well-dressed femme fatales? Count me in! My favorite director is quite possibly Alfred Hitchcock. Really, though, I like all sorts of movies!

TV: I do like to keep up with the politics, and I watch The Daily Show, Colbert Report, and Bill Maher pretty regularly. In terms of dramatic shows, I pick and choose pretty selectively, but some past and current favorites have been X-Files, Twin Peaks, The West Wing, Mad Men...

Radio: Over the last few years I've really gotten into some NPR shows like This American Life and Radiolab.

I love all kinds of music--yes, even the occasional country and hip-hop--though admittedly the majority of my music collection is some form of rock or pop. I enjoy classic rock, grew up on 80s music, and have a soft spot especially for new wave and synthpop. My most recent favorite album is by M83.

But my all-time favorite artist, now and forever, is David Bowie!

Possibly out dancing at a club; possibly hanging out at home with the family. I have a 6-year-old son who rocks my world.

I own more than a few pairs of high heeled shoes. And yes, I can walk in them quite well, thank you very much.

You never quite got over your adolescent feelings of being a freak and a weirdo. Instead, you came to embrace those feelings, laugh about them, and celebrate them.
