I am inquisitive, independent, and enthusiastic.
My Self-Summary
I'm currently working at the strange nexus of academia and
healthcare in Nashville, TN. I love watching movies, movie
trailers, reading
mysteries and trashy fantasy, and
ending arguments by
looking up stuff online. I am
probably one of the clumsiest people alive, and I spend a lot of
time wondering if my
cat is plotting my death or just plain dumb.
I'm never the person who makes an effort to discover what's causing
that weird smell in the fridge, but I like
to cook.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm anticipating the start of my master's program, working hard,
reading, and getting in shape.
I’m really good at
Being klutzy, learning new things, being silly, making lists,
playing video games, and cooking.
I am also the ringer you bring in when your bar trivia team isn't
doing so well.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
A. Currently, I'm digging
In a Sunburned Country,
Snow Crash,
Franny and
Zooey,

Terry
Pratchett, or
Neil Gaiman.
B.
The Shawshank
Redemption,
Clueless,
Lawrence of Arabia,
The Maltese
Falcon,

Rebecca,
Shaun of the
Dead.

The six things I could never do without
My family and friends
Opportunities for self-improvement
Down comforters
Good books
The internet
A healthy body
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What project to work on next. In the past year or so, I've learned
how to kayak, knit, and make pies.
Currently I'm learning how to play guitar and ukulele and make
jewelry, but I'm always on the lookout for the next fun thing.
On a typical Friday night I am
Out and about with friends, or snuggled up under a blanket on the
couch watching movies.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I love everything about going to the movies. I'm not even
necessarily that picky about which movie I see, I just like the
experience.
Yes, I know this isn't very private. But hey, this is the internet.
You should message me if
hmm...I'd like to read something on American history or the history
of science, so if you have any recommendations please let me
know!
You should also message me if you have any cool skills you want to
share. If you've always wondered, "Who would be interested that I
can throw a playing card through a watermelon?," I'm your
girl.
Of course, if you can do that, you're probably Ricky Jay, and I
want to meet you anyway.
