I moved here from NYC to pursue a career in nursing. I've completed the first part of my program and am able to rejoin the workforce, however learning for me never stops. Pushing myself mentally and physically have always been, and continue to be priorities in my life. I try and fulfill my active side outside as much as possible, whether that be biking, running, playing volleyball, snowboarding, kayaking or hiking, as long as I'm moving I am happy. Having spent my later years in cities, the hiking and kayaking are hard to come by, but my love of nature is rooted in years spent growing up around mountains and lakes, I seek out those opportunities as time affords. My relaxation time is typically spent reading, I have a voracious appetite for books, pursuing my quieter interests, or out with friends trying new foods often with a craft beer in hand. I can be shy and quiet when someone first gets to know me but I truly enjoy getting to know people and will open up into a playful extrovert. I find its better to get to know someone face to face than attempt to explain the essence of who you are in a paragraph.

Finding the fun in any moment. I'd also like to think I'm a Jill of all trades. I dabble in a lot of different interests from drawing and painting to car repair, but wouldn't say I've mastered any.

I love to read, mostly fiction, but I've been trying to expand into biographies and other nonfiction. Top picks on my shelf right now are Razor's Edge by Maugham Somerset, Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson, and We Need to Talk About Kevin. Ones in process, I usually have a few going at once, include Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts, Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern and Tales of a Female Nomads by Rita Golden.

I love all kinds of music. What's playing often depends on my mood. Some of the current artists shuffling through include Mumford and Sons, Jay-Z, Matt Nathanson, Beyonce, Imagine Dragons, Macklemore, Natasha Bedingfield, The Lumineers, Young the Giant, Nikki Minaj, Rizzle Kicks and Passenger.

In terms of food, one of my faves is sushi!! I was definitely spoiled living in NYC, I tried to experiment in as many places as my pocket book would allow me. I'm slowly checking out what Philly has to offer for cuisine but spend many evenings cooking in.
