My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I can be a little shy at first, but I loosen up fairly quickly these days. In high school I was that weird kid constantly reading books and not talking to anyone. Frankly I've come a long way since then!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm working and going to school for the second time. I finally made the first step in my career, so now I'm super busy but I'm enjoying it!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm great at learning new things. I feel my day is wasted if I haven't learned something new. I may be terrible with names, but I'm good with faces. I like to think I have a way of understanding what makes people laugh, and then using that to evoke smiles from them. Also, puns. Yeah, I do that. Run away now.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That's rather difficult to say. If I'm standing, they probably notice how tall I am. If I'm sitting, they probably don't notice me at all thanks to my elite ninja sitting skills.

I love pretty much everything Sci-Fi. I am also a wuss, and I don't care much for horror. I do enjoy a lot of other genres, but Sci-Fi is where it's at.

Books: My all time favorite is not actually a Sci-Fi book, it's Catch-22 by Joseph Heller.
Some others are:
The Harry Potter series, The Dark Tower series, pretty much all books and short stories by Isaac Asimov, The Chronic(WHAT)cles of Narnia, Ender's Game (the author is a bit of a douche but the story is a must read), and of course The Lord of the Rings. I have dozens of books on my bookshelf, and I've probably read several hundred more, so this list is by no means complete :)

TV Shows: I'm a netflix junkie, I'll be honest. Obviously some of my top picks are Sci-Fi, so Firefly, BSG, the various Star Trek series (my favorite is TNG), and so forth. But I'm also a HUGE Arrested Development fan. And even though most people I know never get my references, I'm a big Seinfeld fan as well. I have a thing for enjoying shows/movies/music that are not part of my generation.

Movies: LOTR almost goes without saying. I really like the new Star **LENS FLARE** Trek series of movies. There are a few really obscure titles that I like that I think deserve mention: PI, Primer, and The Man from Earth. These are all lesser known low budget Sci-Fi movies that really deserve some attention.

Music: I'm really big into classic rock, alt rock and 80s/90s pop. I'm not so big into metal or modern pop. I really don't care for most country music. Hip-hop/rap is hit or miss. I'll listen to almost anything once, although you would have to force me to listen to modern country. Classic country is more bearable.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Oxygen, carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, calcium, and phosphorus.

Neither could you.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Science! I tend to think about a lot of random things. This, I think, sums it well:
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Usually hanging out with friends playing board games such as Settlers of Catan, Carcassonne, Munchkin, Fluxx, Elder Sign, Cards Against Humanity, etc.

Otherwise I'm usually browsing netflix or reading or playing games.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I live in Wisconsin, but I hate beer and brats. I know, I'm a terrible Wisconsinite.
