My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I think I'm a generally friendly person that gets along with most people, but I can be rather shy at first.

I am a nerd. I make no apologies for this.

I LOVE Sci-Fi. Not to be confused with Sy-Fy, the terrible remains of a once great cable network. Books, TV, movies. I eat it all up. Let's put it this way: If Richard Dean Anderson were to show up at my house, and tell me I have to come with him for a matter of national security, I wouldn't even question him. "Take me to the Stargate!" I'd say. And then after our adventures we would all have a laugh about how I almost was killed by Replicators.

I'm a huge fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

I love to read! I don't read quite as much as I used to, but I usually average at least a dozen books a year. I have a tendency to go on a reading spree every now and then.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Right now I'm just working hard and finishing my second degree in Networking. Other than that I'm hibernating until spring comes!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm great at learning new things. I feel my day is wasted if I haven't learned something new. I'm fortunate to work in a field where I'm constantly improving my skills!
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Well I am tall and fat. Generally speaking I'm rather noticeable in a visual sense. I can be rather quiet, so perhaps I might be overlooked in that way.

I love pretty much everything Sci-Fi. I am also a wuss, and I don't care much for horror. I do enjoy a lot of other genres, but Sci-Fi is where it's at.

Books: My all time favorite is not actually a Sci-Fi book, it's Catch-22 by Joseph Heller.
Some others are:
The Harry Potter series, The Dark Tower series, pretty much all books and short stories by Isaac Asimov, The Chronic(WHAT)cles of Narnia, Ender's Game (the author is a bit of a douche but the story is a must read), and of course The Lord of the Rings.

TV Shows: I'm a netflix junkie, I'll be honest. Obviously some of my top picks are Sci-Fi, so Firefly, BSG, the various Star Trek series (my favorite is TNG), and so forth. But I'm also a HUGE Arrested Development fan. And even though most people I know never get my references, I'm a big Seinfeld fan as well. I have a thing for enjoying shows/movies/music that are not part of my generation. Right now I'm watching The Office.

Movies: LOTR almost goes without saying. I really like the new Star **LENS FLARE** Trek series of movies. There are a few really obscure titles that I like that I think deserve mention: PI, Primer, and The Man from Earth. These are all lesser known low budget Sci-Fi movies that really deserve some attention.

Music: I'm really big into classic rock, alt rock and 80s/90s pop. I'm not so big into metal or modern pop. I really don't care for most country music. Hip-hop/rap is hit or miss. I'll listen to almost anything once, although you would have to force me to listen to modern country. Classic country is more bearable.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Oxygen, carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, calcium, and phosphorus (plus a host of other elements).

Neither could you.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Zombie apocalypses. Teleportation. Time travel. Mental math. Random patterns on license plates. Random patterns that I notice in pretty much everything. Did I mention mental math? That happens a lot.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Usually hanging out with friends playing board games such as Settlers of Catan, Carcassonne, Munchkin, Fluxx, Elder Sign, Cards Against Humanity, etc.

Otherwise I'm usually browsing netflix or reading or playing games. I'm really not one for bars and such. You can get me to go, but I never go alone.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I live in Wisconsin, but I hate beer and brats. I know, I'm a terrible Wisconsinite.

you've ever tried to do a square root in your head, because that would be rather impressive. Or if you would just like to talk :)
