My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi. I'm Phil. What's there to say about me. I'm an easygoing, goofy, and random guy that says what's on my mind. One of my friends put it about right. "I always know something is coming. I just never know what." However, I can be timid around people that I don't know all that well, but that doesn't last long. At the same time, I'm also an incredibly driven person.

I love sports, both watching and playing. A couple years ago I took up fencing, and it's a ton of fun and a great work out. Plus, nothing beats the look on a friend's face when you say ,"Gotta run. I'm off to stab someone in the face." I've also played the violin since I was 10. I'm terrible at it, but hey, it's what floats my boat.

In terms of what type of guy I'm looking for, I'd like to find someone who can bring out my more adventurous side and can push me to step outside my comfort zone. At the same time, I need someone I can show my softer side to who doesn't mind spending an evening curled up together, watching something on netflix or just enjoying the quiet moments.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm going to the U for chemistry, chemical engineering, and biochemistry and wondering why I'm doing this to myself. Thankfully I'll be done this fall. I also work in a medicinal chemistry lab that focuses on HIV research.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Telling jokes that amaze and astound... Okay okay. The jokes actually shock and confuse. But I'm actually really good at teaching math and chemistry.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
They either notice that I'm silly, whimsical, and a little quirky or that I'm pretty smart. Imagine that. A quirky scientist.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: The Hobbit, Harry Potter series, The Seventh Tower series, The Hunger Games, most fantasy. I absolutely love to read.

Movies: Second Hand Lions , Schindler's List, Pirates of the Caribbean, Batman Begins and Dark Knight, Lord of the Rings, Gladiator, the original Star Wars trilogy.

Shows: Nikita, That 70's Show, Two and a Half Men, The Big Bang Theory, Scrubs, Fringe, Dexter, How I Met Your Mother, Game of Thrones, Orange is the New Black.

Music: I like Classical Music the best, but I can't stand Beethoven. I like most music, just not rap or heavy metal. I don't really care for country either, but I can tolerate it.

Food: I like India and any oriental food the best, although sometimes I get a craving for Mexican food.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Excluding the blatantly obvious things like friends and family,
1. Books
2. Computer
3. Good food and so so wine
4. Laughter
5. A problem to solve
6. My Darth Vader piggy bank
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Where I want to go to earn a PhD in chemistry. That's right. Some day I will be Dr. Phil. I also think about just finding the right guy.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I'm usually hanging out with friends or just relaxing at home with a beer.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
When I was little, me and my siblings would shake our butts at the ice cream truck if it was playing the Brahms' Lullaby. The guy that drove the truck got so annoyed by us that when he turned onto our block, he turned it off.
