I am probably one of the most random people you will ever meet. Let's just get that out of the way now. Completely and utterly all over the place. I'm constantly multitasking and will hold multiple trains of conversation at once. I guess my brain is kind of broken like that. But, whatever.

I've spent my years trying to figure out where I fit in the grand scheme of things. I used to be a punk rocker, then a metal head, then got into industrial/goth, then spun into being a raver. But the one constant during all of this, I've always been a video game playing, comic book reading Grade A certified nerd. And you know what? I'm proud of that.

I'm obsessed with music. I picked up djing, which is lucky that I have this obsession. I lived through the first rave generation staring gape mouthed at the DJ booth, admiring the way they controlled the crowd. Now, I am that guy. Well, kind of, I guess. Sunday nights I DJ a hard house and dirty electro night at UC and am starting a dubstep night at another club in town. I'm also involved with the Nerdcore hip hop scene. Booking and djing shows here in town. I've also worked in radio, and currently have a weekly(ish) nerdcore hip hop radio show/podcast.

Word of warning. I'm pretty crass, but all in good fun. I love making someone laugh, and also seeing how far I can go before people get uncomfortable. I can reel it in, but know that it's a bizarre habit of mine.

Right now I'm djing. I wait tables to survive, but tend to be booking nights lately. The tips pay my bills while I'm off chasing dreams.

Books = house of leaves by mark z. danielewski is possibly the most bestest mind copulation i've yet to read, anything by Chuck Palahniuk (preferably invisible monsters), Irvine Welsh (best of which would be glue), Brett Easton Ellis (american psycho), Craig Cleavenger (dermaphoria), and Will Self (dorien, a modern re imagining of dorien gray, is friggin amazing). recently been getting into the bizarro fiction genre. carlton mellick III (satan burger, adolf in wonderland), mykle hanson (help! i'm being eaten by a bear) and others are really keeping my attention. basically, the entire genre loves to offend while making you laugh, and sometimes, just sometimes, think.

As far as movies, I tend to lean more towards horror (preferably with a sense of humor behind it) or indie cinema. The more off the wall, the better. Also, I LOVE Asian films. They have an amazing way of capturing imagery. And this new nod to the exploitation films of the 60s and 70s are churning out some amazing cinema. Some favorite films of late: OldBoy (best movie ever!), I Saw the Devil, 13 Assassins, True Legend, A Fantastic Fear of Everything, Kick-Ass, Fight Club, The Man With the Iron Fists, Tokyo Gore Police, Hobo with a Shotgun, Killer Joe, Bunny and the Bull, Dead Snow, The ABCs of Death, I'm a Cyborg and That's OK, Moonrise Kingdom, Mystery Team, Rare Exports, RoboGeisha, Rubber, Trollhunter, Martyrs, Django Unchained, We Are What We Are, Dr. Strangelove, and seriously, Scott Pilgrim always makes me a little teared up at the end. Oh, and if you're seen A Serbian Film, then you are pretty awesome, too.

Music wise, I'm all over the place. I'm currently running a hard house/dirty electro/trance night in town. Booking some guest spots around town as well. I also do a nerdcore hip hop radio show/podcast (www.gettinpixelated.com). I love all kinds of music, though. But, seeing as those two are as much work as they are pleasure, its what you normally find me listening to.

1) My mp3 collection. No need to explain.

2) My laptop (including my 3 external drives). I tend to email and IM people more than I call them, even. And all djing is done on this, as well. And the movie and TV shows on here could keep me occupied on a desert island for years. I just need to find a plug.

3) My friends. To be with me is to accept the rag tag, bizarre people collection that I have. They rock.

4) A Swiss Army midget. I think that needs no explanation.

5) Caffeine, oh sacred lifeblood.

6) The ability to fly.

the cataclysmic results of combining squirrels and massive amounts of amphetamines, the process in which movies are picked for pay cable channels during non peak times (like when I woke up the one day and Cool As Ice was on), which energy drink truly is the greatest of all time (Monster's Killer Bee owns all), the ways in which I would need to change so that I could become supreme ruler of the universe. All at the same time.

drunk? Hanging out with friends? Sometimes DJing. Fridays are normally busy, though. Maybe we can reschedule for Saturdays? Or you can meet me out, OKCupid profile person. I'm glad you're inquiring, though, you nosy stalker bastard.

I don't drive. I haven't been behind a wheel in so long that if I dream of driving, my brain gets confused. I could pay fines, get my license back, but seriously, I was a horrible driver, and me not being on the road probably saved a life or 10.

I have been known to have complete conversations online using only YouTube clips. Sure, it takes a bit longer to get to the point, but my god, is it more entertaining to get there.

And I cry at movies. Specially sad ones. SHADDUP!!
