I'm an explorer with an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. Educated, rational, INTJ, scientist, engineer, philosopher, psychologist. I spent many years of my life your typical studious bookworm, but now have thrown myself into being a social creature. I perform in several improv comedy troupes, as I believe improv is very Zen. I usually have something that I throw myself into for a few years while I master it (before improv these included ballroom dancing volleyball and climbing). I love board games, especially co-operative ones like Shadows Over Camelot, or Battlestar Galactica. I am very analytical and a real problem solver.

Making my software company successful, becoming a kick-ass improviser, building a wonderful network of friends, designing games, having fun, and figuring out how to create true AI.

Overanalyzing, computers, guessing personality types, dancing, board games, listening, card games, keeping promises.

"Big beautiful eyelashes that don't belong on guy" Is one thing I've heard, but in general people aren't too frank about first impressions

So someone inspired me to really think of six things.

My lifeblood is knowledge. Without a constant influx of learning I feel like I would shrivel up and die. This comes in the form of news, yes, but also things like TED talks.

Friends. Knowing things are cool, but the next step is talking about what's cool with a friend. A sounding board for ideas, yes, but I really need to share my excitement and energy and let it be real synergy.

A goal. If I don't have a goal to which I'm struggling, I'm miserable. fixing problems, optimizing things, making life better for other people, etc. these are things that keep me sane. The concept of Heaven frightens me because it implies lack of any goal, thus any meaning.

A guru/mentor/guide. This one is getting harder and harder to find in my life, but without someone whose opinion I respect, whom I can go to to help determine if I'm on the right track is someone I really value and need in life.

Technology. In the big northeast blackout several years ago, I was quite out of sorts. Luckily i found a battery operated radio, but I'm a huge futurist and technologist. I do enjoy intentional time in nature, but life requires tech.

Fantasy. My dreams are not enough. I need those science fiction writers, fantasy writers, poets, tv and movie creators, etc. They keep me inspired.

The future! Technology, the environment, politics, psychology.
