My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
A long life or a wide one? I've made my choice, what about you?

If I were a song then I would be Bohemian Rhapsody..

In a previous life of mine, I worked as a computer wizard in Italy. Then I died and reincarnated myself in Wales and lived the local life for a while. Then did the same in Spain. Then I died once more and I was back in Italy again. How's that as a way of saying that I am back from a long sabbatical?

Chinese astrology says that I'm a Wood Tiger. While I will admit that the corresponding profile mostly matches, if I were given the choice then I would rather be a Tiger with Wood. Anyway, are you afraid of big cats?
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Seeking wisdom.
Cherishing my loved ones.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Switching your cell phone over to Japanese.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My low-pitched deep voice, apparently. I have been complimented for it many times. And before I speak? I have never asked.

My arrogance, as I have been complimented for it as well, though less often.

My straightforward attitude, I hope, that in writing can easily feel like abrasiveness.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books? I read a lot, mostly non-fiction, and here is my current hit parade:
- Man's Search for Meaning, by Viktor Frankl
- The Prince, by Niccolò Machiavelli
- Memories, by Francesco Guicciardini
- Canti, by Giacomo Leopardi

I haven't watched films for ages, but... I would like to watch Papillon again. And Frankstein Jr. with Italian dubbing for the win!

No favourite TV shows because I don't watch television.

Music? I don't listen to music as much as I should, but here are my favourites:
- Paco de Lucia and other flamenco guitarists
- Queen
- classical music (especially Chopin and Bach)
- old songs by Jovanotti (an Italian pop singer... a little poet of optimism, so sad that few foreign people know him)
- classic jazz songs (I can't stand modern jazz)
- classic Neapolitan songs

Foods? Oh, Aubergine Parmigiana, Aubergine Parmigiana, how can I count the ways I love you? Every year, I can't wait for figs and cherries to be in season again. Summer calls for a rice salad at lunch. "Sugo di carne" (Italian recipe based on tomato sauce with meat, slowly cooked) makes me relive my childhood memories. Finally, cook egg tagliatelle with any topping and we will be best friends for a meal.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
- freedom
- food for thought
- passionate conversations with smart people
- my plans to improve the world (no joke)
- music
- time on my own
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Should I stay or should I go?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Sleeping, when I am lucky.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I don't know. Ask me and I will either answer or spank you for having dared.

... you have won a big chunk of money at lottery and you want to share.

I am fluent in English and Spanish, and while I will switch to either language if you are fluent in it as well, I haven't forgotten my native Italian yet. Write in the language that you prefer.
