I'm told my previous bio was dull. It's still below, but in the
meantime:
After graduating college I moved to Guatemala for two years where I
became a crime overlord living the life of slippery loyalties, easy
money, and sleazy passions. But I couldn't get a good dental plan
so I came back.
Deciding to leverage my newly-gained skills, I looked for
appropriate work. Due to my deep tan, I ended up in phone tech
support at a call center. Working my way up the corporate ladder
(again, using the same skills as my days as a crime overlord), I
ended up leader of a hygienically-challenged group of techies,
merely by promising them regular outings where they'd meet women.
They all became regulars at the local senior center, where many
still visit the blue-hairs and play bridge. One even got married
but that ended much as _Harold and Maude_ had.
Disgusted by the depths I had now sunk, I decided to 'go clean' as
it were and pursue a more socially-acceptable lifestyle. I ordered
the largest cable package I could and spent the next six months
watching nothing but Jerry Springer and reality TV. I can now throw
a chair with deadly accuracy.
Eventually, after I had a health scare (my private parts had turned
orange -- turned out that watching girlie movies and eating cheetos
at the same time is a bad idea), I sold the couch and television
and decided to forge my own path forward.

I've been doing freelance software work for 12 years now, and it
allows me freedom to travel and spend time with friends, which is a
real plus. Laughter is high on my list of things I like because
it's like, y'know, fun. I
swim regularly and
cycle irregularly, though half the reason
is that I love the sun.
Music is a constant companion to my life,
which means I drag a lot of friends out to concerts (smaller is
better). I have a sense of
humor. I'll spare you any descriptions of
it and merely point upward to the top of my bio.
I've been to
Burningman several times, and I've
got plenty of stories from that. I love to cook but, ironically, am
switching slowly to a
raw-food (aka living food) diet and
lifestyle.
That's probably enough for now. Send a message if you'd like to
know more, I don't mind answering questions.
Living it.
Being modest.
Oh, *fine*, let's see. Making people comfortable in social
situations, which I value. My job, which is, well, a job. Math
which can be beautiful, but math is just the brush strokes that
comprise the larger picture. Getting people to laugh.
My eyelashes/eyes, or my laugh.
Too many.
Caffeine, swimming, music, sunlight, friends, laughter.
Work, sadly. Friends, happily. Physics, geekily.
Exhausted from the week? having a quiet night in or getting dragged
out to something. Saturday's I'm a lot more energetic.
Hmm. I'm not all that private, to be honest, so I have a hard time
doing a mental inventory to find anything horribly dark and secret
that y'all may want to know. Just send me a message and ask, I'll
answer.
If you want to, duh.
