I like going out with friends to have a drink, shoot pool, catch theatre or live music, and occasionally even dancing but I can also be perfectly happy most nights staying home to read a book or watch a movie with a friend, that special someone, or even the cat. If you're interested in what I read I've got Stephen King, Storm Constantine, Neil Gaiman, William Gibson, Hemingway, Doestoevsky, Nietzsche, and Greg Bear on my bookshelf right now with assorted history, sci-fi, and philosophy books mixed in.
As for what I want in life, I'm living proof that it's possible to still be a romantic. I believe that the term "open relationship" is an oxymoron; I believe it's still possible to find THE love of your life not just a lover that's good for a few months/years; and, I believe that true love can give people the strength to withstand most all of the slings and arrows life will throw against you although you're still going to get pretty bruised if life sends a semi to run you over - hey I'm a realist. I also belive that the odds of falling in love on first sight are longer than those of winning the lottery so until my mega-millions ticket comes in I believe in taking time to get to know somebody before lightly tossing out the "I love you"'s.
Quite frankly I'm not looking for the love of my life online but then again I have met some good friends that way so if you're intrested in doing anything from grabbing coffee and talking politics or sports to getting dinner or catching a movie hit me up. Quite frankly if you've gotten this far and aren't totally scared off hit me up because we'd probably have fun hanging out. If you've gotten this far and are intrigued then you should hit me up AND consider getting a good therapist... Seriously though, hope to hear from some folks soon.
