Hi, there. My name is Colin. Some of my friends call me Dog. I am strange and so are you, hopefully.

I'm originally a DC native, but moved to the Boston area something like a year and a half ago.

I am a performer geek with a penchant for LARP (and other roleplaying), creative writing and theatre. I like to act, sing and dance. I also like video games and contra dancing.

I am polyamorous, and I do not think this makes me better than anybody who's not.

I just read this profile section and realized how dry it was. So: Two muffins are sitting in an oven. One muffin turns to the other muffin and says, "Hey, hot enough for ya?" The other muffin looks at the first one and says, "HOLY CRAP A TALKING MUFFIN"

I am a barista with Giant Coffee Chain. You know how there's the terrible barista who wants to get you out the door and talk to you as little as possible? I'm the other one.

I hope ultimately to do something creative with myself, and will be self-publishing a fantasy novel about a bunch of supermarket employees by the end of the year.

I have been enjoying life despite medical pitfalls and the loss of my car, and am happy to have wonderful friends, a great house to live in and a world full of promise in front of me.

Interesting: Cuddling, hugs, love, figuring out useless technological widgets, LARP (particularly portraying villainy), and video games, especially rhythm games like Dance Dance Revolution, Pump It Up and In The Groove. Also, Rock Band, in which I play everything on expert.

Weird: double-jointedness, controlled sleeping on public transit, monster noises and evil laughs.

My hair, which is foofy, thick and getting longer every day. If not that, then my voice: I speak loudly and clearly.

I'm going to go with a few favorites of each. Books: The Master and Margarita, The Ethical Slut, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, Snowcrash. Movies: Waking Life, Hot Fuzz, Dress to Kill (Eddie Izzard), Love, Actually. Musical Artists/Bands: Oceanlab, Sleepthief, Imogen Heap, Leahy, The Beatles Foods: Tiramisu, breakfast skillets, Chicken Carbonara, milk-soaked cake.

Stories. They fill my head. Characters, places, worlds, inventions, flora and fauna. No days go by during which I have not made something up.

Love, love, love. And topics derived from that.

Money. Some people - got to have it. Some people - really need it. Do thangs, do thangs, do thangs, bad thangs widdit.

Hanging with friends, always. Sometimes drinking, sometimes watching a movie, sometimes just playing a rousing game of Apples to Apples or the dvorak card game. I like to go clubbing but get the chance more infrequently than I care for. I almost always spend fridays "out" or at a party. Sometimes I go contra dancing. More and more I am out at a weekend-long LARP.

I keep feeling like I should change this profile so that it's more pithy or abstract, but I kind of like how informative this one is.

I am an athiest. I will not disrespect your religion unprovoked; however, if you are dogmatically strict or strictly dogmatic, we may not get along so great.

I sometimes wear a dog collar to casual gatherings, though if you meet me on here you probably won't see it at first.

My romantic plate is pretty full at the moment, but I never rule anything out and have made some very good friends here.
