My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a 40 year old mother of two, and I am disabled by chronic fatigue syndrome. I've recently re-married, and own a home-based metaphysical and exotic reptile business. I am also an author of both fiction and non-fiction.

I have two children, of which my ex managed to get joint custody.

I'm a psionics student and instructor (psychic development), and a therianthrope. So, I'd get along well with other psis. If you don't know what therianthropy is, you're probably going to think it's strange. I expect I'd be most happy with another otherkin, at least, if not another therian. I like vampires too (sanguinarian, psi-vamp, doesn't matter). Probably not so much so folks who aren't any of the above...it's just hard to relate.

I'm not religious, but I am a former pagan, and I like pagan holidays and celebrations. I don't have "faith"...deities to me are there, but I don't seem to have a reason to interact with them. I suppose spirituality to me is the feeling you get when you're standing on the side of a mountain looking out over trackless wilderness. I need nothing more.

I dearly love camping, fishing, amateur photography, and simply being out in the woods.

I'm also a fan of fantasy, science fiction, and horror in all media. I particularly love reading.

I'm also a professional breeder of ball pythons (a type of snake), and plan to expand my interests in herpetoculture, so if you're skeered 'o' snakes, you may not wanna come over for movie night. :) My babies (the scaly ones) are gearing up for the breeding season right now, chowing down on lots of rats. You can see my snakies for sale at www.EclipseExotics.com.

The other half of my biz is a metaphysical business (through Ebay), selling guardian servitor spirits. They are bonded to pendants, bracelets, earrings, display stones, and other stone items. You can see my site at http://www.EclipseMetaphysical.com. We have many amulets, summoned spirits, and other items as well.

As an author, I have self-published two non-fiction metaphysical books, both rather short. 'Beginning Psionics: A Psionics Training Manual' has recently been revised, and is available for the kindle, and in pdf format. The paperback version has not yet been revised. 'An Energy-Workers' Guide to Real Vampirism' is available revised in pdf, but other versions have not yet been revised.

My fiction work is set in the book universe I have created, The Worldwalkers Universe. They are primarily vampire novels, but also include the werewolf-like Rael-Shaa. Quantum reality travel, science, magic, and psionics, are all elements that make these intimate adventure stories unique. (Intimate adventure is a genre that deals with the relationships between characters as a focus, against the backdrop of external events; not romance, though it may contain romance).

Sorrows, book one of The Rogue Saga, has now been published, and is available from major online retailers in both paper and e-formats. You can find links, information and an excerpt on my author site at http://www.donnafernstrom.com .

Book Two in the Rogue Saga, titled 'Shatter', will hopefully be published in 2014. Book three is already completed, and book 4 is in progress. I also have a Novella, and several short stories that have not yet been released, set in the Worldwalkers Universe.

I am honest, loyal, and undemanding
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Taking care of my children, trying to get the house in order so we can move AGAIN, running several esoteric-related websites, reading books, running my business.

Plus I have 2 non-fiction books published right now. "Beginning Psionics: A Psionics Training Manual" is a psychic training program, and "The Care and Feeding of Vampires: An Energy Workers' Guide to Real Vampirism" is a detailed look at real vampirism from an energy worker perspective. It should provide answers for all persons in the occult, pagan, metaphysical, and related communities on what vampire are, how to recognize them, causes of vampirism, cures for vampirism, how to safely donate, and how to defend yourself again vampiric attacks. Find links to purchase the books at http://www.donnafernstrom.com
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Reading, zoology/animal husbandry/wildlife observation, strange paranormal stuff, spending an awful lot of time in front of a computer screen (you have been warned).
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I don't wear makeup...I'm just guessing here, no one has ever mentioned this to me, lol. Oh, and I panic when I meet people for the first time and I'm expected to get to know them. I get over this with repeat exposures, though.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
a: Authors include Jacqueline Lichtenberg, Jean Lorrah, Alan Dean Foster, Jim Butcher, Anne McCaffrey, Chelsea Quinn Yarbro, James White...ok, this would probably wind up being a book by itself if I went on. b: Night Breed, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Ladyhawke, The Lost Boys...the list goes on. c: Enya, Metallica, 3 Doors Down, Savage Garden, and everything in between... d: Grilled steak (still mooing, please!), crab legs, pizza, anything with meat that isn't part of phyllum mollusca. But I do like fried clams, and adore scallops.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Books, wilderness, um...my head, lungs, heart....(obviously running out of ideas). I could do without the internet, but I'm much happier with it.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The "paranormal" (psionics), otherkin, wildlife, the future. Oh, and the book I'm writing.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Probably sitting at home in front of the computer.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I think goths are cute. (Is that private?)

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You're honest and sincere, and don't mind women who like to run howling through the woods on occasion (even if I don't usually have the stamina for it). I'm mostly looking for friends to do things with, I'm happily married. I can never seem to find anyone with common interests who likes fishing. :P If you're a creepy guy looking for something on the side, I can smell you a mile off, so don't even bother.
