I am weird, hyper, and misunderstood.

My Self-Summary

I was born in the middle of a cold October night.. 23 years later, well, here I am. My life has been rather complicated to say the least, but I'm doing okay.

Firstly, I must say that Joss Whedon is a genius and I worship the ground he walks on. He is the one that gave us Buffy, Angel and Firefly and thus he is my god. Mmm.. Joss. Is it strange that I want to pick apart his brain in a scientific lab just to see what makes him tick? ;)

I'm a self-proclaimed clothes whore. Shopping, trying to learn how to sew, cosplaying and watching Project Runway add up to my big obsession with clothing as an art form. Strange thing is, I'm not really a girly girl though. Manicured nails? Ha! Mine are all chipped and jagged.

I used to be goth.. I got over that. Now my life belongs to rock, classic and alternative. I wish I had been born two generations earlier so I could have experienced Woodstock. Music in general is very cathartic for me. Dancing, singing, perfecting the art of the well crafted mix tape.. it's all good.

Writing is a big part of my life. Especially fanfic which I post over at ff.net. I also have a journal I update daily on LiveJournal (name: vampedvixen). If you really want to know more about me, including my bitching about the craziness of life, I suggest you go there. I also have a MySpace account I very rarely even look at.

Regarding my personality, I can go from sluagh to River in a nano-second. It takes me forever to remember your name, but I remember faces pretty well. It also takes forever for me to actually accept that we know each other or that my friends are really friends. School was rough for a geek like me, plus my family is f-ing nuts, so yeah, trusting people? Not my strong suit.

What I’m doing with my life

At the moment, I'm a temp, which is a decent enough job because I'm never stuck in one place for very long and I get to meet new people every month. Plus, if I'm not getting along with my new boss, I only have to deal with them for a limited amount of time. I'm also working on getting accepted to a Social Welfare Masters Program (at Adelphi or Stony Brook, hopefully the latter because it's closer).

I’m really good at

Writing. Driving. Being suckered into joining OkCupid.

The first things people usually notice about me

I'm extremely quiet at first, but as soon as I get to know you I'm very bouncy and hyperactive.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

A. Passage by Connie Willis, Waking The Moon by Elizabeth Hand, War For The Oaks by Emma Bull, Tithe by Holly Black and other modern witty fantasies.

B. The Pirate Movie, Serenity, The Labyrinth, 10 Things I Hate About You, X-Men, Spiderman..

C. Garbage, Aimee Mann, Dar Williams, Ani DiFranco, Louis XIV, Dresden Dolls, Sarah McLachlan, Pat Benatar, Joan Jett, The Killers, Voltaire, The Brobdingnagian Bards, Emerald Rose, Amanda Marshall, U2, REM, Rasputina, The Eagles, Simon & Garfunkel. Mostly I listen to CD mixes based on theme.

D. I-HOP!!!

The six things I could never do without

1. Friends 2. The Internet 3. My car 4. Music 5. Laughter 6. Nature

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Things that shouldn't be taking up space in my brain to begin with.

On a typical Friday night I am

Hanging out at a friend's house or trying to amuse myself at home.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

*mysterious smile*

You should message me if

You're willing to get to know me slowly.
