My Self-Summary

I don't really think that test thingy was accurate at all. But then again, I don't think any test can really be accurate, as I don't really fit into categories. Not that I'm so cool I defy category, I just don't really make any sense, not even to myself. I'm silly, yet serious; active, yet lazy; nerdy, yet hip; artistic, yet down to earth; enjoy going out, yet enjoy staying in; optimistic, yet cynical; high- brow, yet low-brow; open-minded, yet traditional; an active conversationalist, yet a good listener; sarcastic, yet friendly; an old soul, yet I still act like I'm five. I'm a contradiction of sorts, but then, I suppose to an extent, everyone is. I've never been good at defining myself, though I also think by defining a person, you limit them.

What I’m doing with my life

My job isn't exactly the greatest job ever, but they let me come in at 11:15am and the paychecks don't bounce, so I'm pretty content with it for now. Beyond that I try to keep making art, hopefully getting to the point where I can find a way to get paid to do that. And on Tuesdays I run a trivia night at the DMSC with a couple friends of mine.

I’m really good at

rolling quarters across my knuckles, spinning bottles in my hands, flipping pancakes in the air, twirling pencils around my thumb, video games and figuring a way to add drinking rules to any game. Yep, if it's entirely useless and impractical in real life, odds are I've taken the time to learn it.

The first things people usually notice about me

The slanty eyes, I'm guessing. Or my slightly off sense of humor, regardless of present company. Or possibly my hair -- I do find people petting me more than one would readily predict. Or that I'm probably gay.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I hate picking favorites, so to make this more fun, I'm doing it as top ten lists. This is by no means in order, nor definitive and it is subject to whimsy and mood.

The six things I could never do without

A six-pack of Newcastle. Or failing that, and since I'm often broke, a six-pack of Pabst will do in a pinch.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Mostly I think about the human condition and aesthetics. And what to do when the zombies and/or robots inevitably attack. And how awesome dinosaurs are.

On a typical Friday night I am

in love. Monday you can fall apart. Tuesday, Wednesday break my heart. Thursday doesn't even start... OK, Cure lyrics aside, I'm probably out. Or in. I don't know that I really have a typical. I'm equally content at a bar with friends, on the couch with a book, or at home with friends and/or video games and movies.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I never learned how to read. I've filled this entire thing out by typing the question into my kid sister's Speak'n'Spell, and then saying my answer into the Speak'n'Spell and copying what it says on the screen. It's a very tedious process.

You should message me if

you make as little sense as I do. If you like things that are fun and awesome. If it seemed like a good idea at the time. If you want to hang out and play Nintendo. Or Sega, I'm not picky.
