I am unusual, insightful, and wickedly funny.
My Self-Summary
Hello. I'm a
Welsh
Witch who has
recently ended a ten year relationship and been subsequently forced
to move back to Wales with my parents. I am about to start and
administrative position at a housing charity. My main ambition is
to save enough to get my on place in Canterbury, where I went to
university. My multifarious interests include
psychology (I am a graduate
psychologist),
anthropology,((vampires)),
role-play-gaming, ebaying,
scifi,
fantasy,
horror, especially
Terry Pratchett,
Neil Gaiman,
Charlaine Harris
Jane Austen,
etc etc. I also
write my own fiction. I hope to write for
kids someday. I love anything weird and wonderful. I've been a
practising witch for 15 years. I used to run my university pagan
society and now help others starting off on their path when they
cross mine. I'm a nice person, a bit crabby sometimes, but then I'm
a Cancer. I have a wicked sense of humour. I also think I should
rule the world. Dislikes include hypocrisy, infidelity, people who
use text talk in e-mails, unrepentant morons, hate criminals and
the unneccessarily whiny.
What I’m doing with my life
Mostly licking my wounds and feeling sorry for myself as I've just
split up with my fiancé.
I've had various jobs, mostly involving admin, teaching or
healthcare. My new job will involve providing customer support to
clients of a housing association. What I really want to do is write
novels.
I’m really good at
Writing, reading books very quickly. Remembering vast tracts of
trivia, diagnosing odd psychological ailments, languages, divination
(i.e. tarot, palmistry, etc.), roleplaying, looking after people,
being creative, being smug, sarcasm, drawing like a small child,
giving advice, being a witch.
The first things people usually notice about me
My walk. I've been told I stride, as if into battle. I've got long
blonde hair and green eyes. Slightly odd wardrobe. I do not fear
colour.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
a)Lots of these. Anything by Jane Austen, Terry Pratchett, Neil
Gaiman, Charlaine Harris, trashy vampire soft porn (e.g. Anita
Blake), Lynsey Davis' Marcus Didius Falco series. I love children's
books like Harry Potter, the His Dark Materials series by Philip
Pullman, Garth Nix. Generally, odd, fantastical books.
b)Aliens, the Directors Cut, The Princess Bride, Lord of the Rings,
Star Wars, Spaceballs, Harry Potter, Southpark the movie, Jay &
silent Bob films, When Harry Met Sally, Love Actually, lots of daft
horror films, lots of soppy rom-coms and anything scifi/fantasy.
Except that Dungeons&Dragons film with Jeremy Irons. That was
crap.
c)Katie Melua, Sarah McLaughlin, Tori Amos, Nirvana, Foo-fighters,
Metallica, Kate Bush, Sisters of Mercy, U2, Greenday, Billie
Holliday, opera, piano/violin classics.
d) Chocolate, mexican food, italian food, a nice steak, my mother's
xmas dinner, long island ice teas, champagne, coffee. More
chocolate.
The six things I could never do without
Books, my mum, my friends, simple pleasures, complex pleasures,
Mother Earth.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Faith, philosophy, love, magic, morality, why people are such
b*****ds/so stupid/so annoying, politics (see previous), the nature
of life and being, poetry, literature, music, art, how "cheese" is
a funny word and how I will go about taking over the world. I also
spend a lot of time daydreaming about various fantasies, often
involving acts of personal heroism or revenge on hated enemies (hee
hee).
On a typical Friday night I am
Currently avoiding the crappy soaps and Strictly spin offs my
parents feel the need to watch.
Probably reading with a nice glass of wine.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
Nothing. Things are only embarrassing if you tell people, or allow
them to live after they find out. I've already told you all there
is to know, pretty much, including being a member of a minority
religion that people like to burn and the whole world domination
thing. Perhaps my sad, geeky knowledge of vampires and suchlike?
You should message me if
You want to. Particularly if you are interested in Paganism or any
of the above authors. I'm a fairly friendly person. It's always
nice to hear from new people, unless they are creepy, stalker
types. I warn you, I'm a biter!
