A few vaguely relevant factoids about me: I'm
introverted, a bit
Goth, little
Geeky and my
Myers-Briggs
Personality Type is
INTJ.
Some people consider me to be
shy when they meet me, some have found me a
little stand-offish and distant but occasionally people have met me
and thought I was sociable and talkative. It all depends how well I
'click' with a person and what we are talking about. :o)
I try to be positive about life and prefer people who are the same.
I like to make the most of life and to enjoy myself as much as
possible. If I am happy I want to enjoy it and if I am sad I want
to be in a happy atmosphere to cheer myself up. It seems natural to
be down every now and then but I don't think it's good to dwell
endlessly on problems that can't be fixed or to not make the most
of bad situations.
I am also
polyamorous; I date and develop
romantic relationships with more than one person at a time under
the
mutual agreement that they can do the same.

It doesn't have a lot on it, but it does have links to my other
profiles, photo galleries, and journals.

I graduated from a philosophy degree at Southampton University back
in 2007. I've not been doing anything particularly special or
interesting work-wise since then... just doing temp work and trying
to earn enough money to maintain my lifestyle whilst saving at the
same time :o)
In my spare time I enjoy a lot of different things. As well as the
usual nights in with friends, parties and nightclubs I also enjoy
LAN parties, board games, roleplay-games and wargames :o)
I spend the vast majority of my free time with
Myzari.

For a lot of people it would be something physical; my long hair or
perhaps my dress-sense. Having said that, most people I interact
with socially wouldn't see either as much special.
First impressions of me as a person vary depending on how quickly
we hit things off. Some people see me as cold when they first see
me but others as talkative and confident. Either way I'm told I can
be hard to 'read' so there's a definite 'getting to know me' stage
when meeting me.

I spend a lot of time lost in thought. This may be idle fantasy, or
imagined conversations, or occasionally something more intellectual
and/or philosophical.
I spend a lot of time fleshing out sci-fi/fantasy stories in my
head; I have a very active imagination and a somewhat rich
'inner-world' that not everyone understands. It's easy to get lost
there.
Possibly not surprising that I enjoy roleplay games given the
above.
Varies.
Friday nights tend to be nights in with
Myzari as I tend to go clubbing on Saturday
nights, but it really does depend on what's going on around me.
I'm friend-seeking, so if you're looking to add to your social
network, then that's good.
I'm especially interested to get to know anyone who likes to go
clubbing at alt music events, especially if they live near me or
are likely to travel that way. If that's you, feel free to send me
a message :o)
Geeks are very welcome as well. I played a lot more
geek games at university but
now I just don't know that many people who are eager to sit down
and play long games of Risk or Necromunda with me :oP
I'm sure lots of people would prefer to chat with me online before
saying hello to me at a club or sitting down to play a board game
with me, which is fine and I like doing that as well. If you're
looking for something to chat about then any shared interest or
hobby is good. I tend to get deeply involved with conversations
involving ethics or political philosophy but I can always try to
keep it light for the sake of okcupid. :oP
I hate to be negative, but it's worth saying... if you're overtly
and unapologetically sexist, racist, transphobic, homophobic,
anti-feminist or anti-PC then it's unlikely that we will get along.
(note: I take PC to mean 'avoiding the use of unnecessarily
offensive language' or something similar)
I've put up a summary post of my politics for anyone interested.
:o)
