My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books: For fiction primarily Science Fiction with a smattering of other speculative fiction such as Fantasy, Horror, Alternate History, etc. Snow Crash, A Deepness in the Sky, Neuromancer and The Shockwave Rider are novels that particularly stand out.
For non-fiction I've mostly been reading food related writing (The Omnivore's Dilemma, Fast Food Nation, Heat, The United States of Arugula, M.F.K. Fisher). I have an unhealthy obsession with cookbooks though I've only really begun to explore but a handful. The New Best Recipe, How to Cook Everything, Cooking by Hand are among my most favorite/used.
Wikipedia and political blogs have taken much of the time I used to devote to reading books.
